Best DIY Project of 2012 Contest!

    By Stacy 63 Comments

Today is the day when you can link up your  favorite DIY projects that you completed last year.  I will look through them all and with the help of my guest judges, we will narrow them down to the top 10 projects. The top 10 will be announced on 22nd and the voting will open up. Anyone can vote for their favorite project from the 22nd until the 28th. The winner will be announced on the 29th!!!!

Just like last year I have enlisted the help of some of my blogging friends to be judges.

Brooke from All Things Thrifty, Traci from Beneath My Heart, Emily from Decor Chick, Roeshel from The DIY Showoff, Beth from Home Stories A 2 Z, Beckie from Infarrently Creative, Chris from Just a Girl, Lindsay from Makely School for Girls, Myra from My Blessed Life, Brittany from Pretty Handy Girl, Sandra from Sawdust and Paper Scraps, Rhoda from Southern Hospitality, Jen from Tatertots and Jello, Gina from The Shabby Creek Cottage, and Sarah from Thrifty Decor Chick.

My favorite store, HOME DEPOT, is sponsoring this contest and offering the winner a $250 gift card!

    * Open to residents of USA and Canada only

*The project(s) must have been done by you (it is alright if you had a little help but the idea and the majority of the work should be YOU)

*The project needs to to have been completed and posted about in 2012

*Link up a max of 3 projects (I know how hard it is to narrow it down to one!)

*You MUST place the contest button either in the posts you link up and or the sidebar of your blog

*If you do not have a blog but would still like to enter please email me ONE photo of your project and a description to notjustahousewife@yahoo.com and I will link it up for you.

*****UPDATE***** I put the button on my sidebar. It seems adding it to the post messed up the HTML code and I am not sure how to fix that. So grab the code off my sidebar and if for some reason it still doesn't work just save it as an image. Sorry! I will try to contact my computer guy.

I'm having trouble adding your graphic to my post, it keeps telling me that the image has been removed. I'll try again later, totally possible that it is simply too early for html!

I'm SOOOOOOO excited for this year's contest! I'm totally crossing my fingers and praying I actually have a chance this year!!! Also, just so you know, I can't get your button for the contest to work. I added a text link to the bottom of each post, but I can change it if you get it working. :) Thanks for this FUN CONTEST!!!!!!! :):) Love your blog!

Exciting contest... I just read the rules and unfortunately my post is from 2013... although I did complete it in 2012. That's okay I will be sure to keep an eye out next year and hopefully have a chance to post my DIY Pendant Lights with Lampshades... until then... Good Luck everyone! I'll be back to vote for my favorite!

Just a quick question to make sure I am playing by the rules :) Our DIY project was a 6 month project that took place from June 2012 to November 2012. I've been posting about it along the way, but did an "over view post" yesterday (in 2013) to submit for the contest with the different steps we took and links back to the original posts (in 2012). Does that work with rule #3? Can't wait to see everyone's favorite DIY projects :)

Hi Stacy, thanks for hosting this contest - I thought last year's was so fun! I'm linking up but your button code didn't work for me. I tried changing it and taking out a few things that didn't look like the right html but still no luck. I hope you won't hold it against me that there's no button there. Happy to add it back in later. :) Thanks again, and have a great week!

      Hi Stacy--

I'm a new follower, and I am grateful for the chance to enter this contest. Thank you so much for hosting it!

My guess is that you and your guest judges will have a difficult time choosing a winner. The DIY projects to be found across the blogosphere are so inspiring! But it's fun for all of us to be able to enter the contest and show off our projects.

Thanks for all the inspiration. Every blessing to you.

I'm impressed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that's both educative and amusing, and let me
tell you, you've hit the nail on the head. The problem is an issue that not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. Now i'm very happy that I stumbled across
this in my search for something regarding this.
