    Plum Christmas Tablescape

    By Stacy 2 Comments

Maybe it is because I live with all boys and dinner time can be, well, lacking manners sometimes, but I like to dress the table up every now and then. The holidays are a really fun time to create a pretty tablescape. This year because my Christmas decor has plum accents, I went with a plum Christmas tablescape.

If you missed the Christmas home tour, you can see the living room all decked out HERE.

I created this advent calendar a few years ago and my boys love it. I love it because the bags are big enough to fit 4 mini candy canes and then no one fights over whose turn it is to open it.

As always, I like to keep things simple. Even if I had a big sprawling dining room table I would still simplify. Candlesticks, fresh greenery, and a few pine cones are all you need. The table runner is actually a wool scarf!

I originally bought these little chalkboards for my book launch party but have used them SO much over the years. I have tucked them in my Christmas trees, used them to label food on a buffet table, and used them as place cards. I like using them in my dining room because they are basically mini versions of my larger menu chalkboard.

I am going to leave the runner and greenery up for as long as I can. I have a feeling that ever Christmas break my boys will use the table for creating projects and science experiments. But for now, I'm going to enjoy my plum Christmas tablescape!
