    Leather Coasters {Styled X3}

    By Stacy 9 Comments

    YES! It is that time again. I love the anticipation from the time I send out the items for this series until I find out what the other bloggers did with theirs. I purposely don't ask how they used their item because I want to find out when you guys do and be surprised.

    The talented bloggers who will be joining me this month are Mindi from My Love 2 Create and Michelle from 4 Men 1 Lady. I love their style and their can-do attitude with DIY projects. You are going to love what they did!

    In case you are new, this series is where I chose a home decor item (usually $10 or less) and buy three of them. I send two of them to other bloggers and the three of us all style it somewhere in our homes. Changing or altering the item is optional but not necessary. It is so fun to see one item used in three different ways!

    This month I chose these leather numbered coasters. I know hat may seem a bit of an odd choice, but I am a sucker for things that are numbered or monogrammed. Plus I have a boy's bedroom to overhaul soon and these looked like they would fit into the space.

    I chose to put them on the wall above some hooks!

    I am a big fan of mounting putty. I use it anytime I can get away with it instead of nails. It worked perfectly for these coasters! The coasters are double sided so it looks like I added it to the front but I didn't :)

    I tried to remove it to get a picture of the putty and I had to tug quite a bit to get it off. It is really strong!

    My other thought (that I almost did) was to attach them to crates or baskets. Wouldn't that make cute toy storage?

      So I saw what Mindi made and discovered there were more projects, now I'm reading all of the challenges from Styledx3. And I made a mental note that you are a fan of mounting putty.
