I look forward to sharing my Christmas decor with you every year and love being a part of home tours with other bloggers. I spend the morning each day peeking into other people's homes seeing all the different styles and ideas.
I do add a few holiday touches to other parts of my home, but my living room is definitely the space that gets the royal treatment. Last year I went with the non-traditional color, plum, and loved it. This year I went with sage and olive. I have really loved adding these colors to my home throughout the year and wanted to see what it would feel like to have a more earthy, natural vibe this Christmas.
While it doesn't translate as well on camera as I would have liked, I ADORE how it looks in person. I added white, black, and antique brass to the tree as well.
I don't have a set theme but I wanted a "home and family" kind of feeling so I added little frames with photos of our grandparents and parents when they were little on Christmas. I used keys from my childhood home and original keys from this 1938 home we live in now as ornaments. I also made houses to go with the other villages around my house.
I bought the little frame ornaments on Amazon. Mine are vertical. I noticed that they also have horizontal.
I hand painted some wrapping paper and made some wood tags.
I used the same wood village on my mantel as last year. They were a paint to make, but I am so glad I did! I painted the purple houses green to go with the new color scheme.
The snowflake art that is covering the TV I made a few years ago.
Since the tree is where the chair normally is, and the chair got moved to the window where the bench goes, the bench got moved to the the other side of the door in our "entry".
The white cabinet next to the bench is my favorite spot to put our nativity.

Hi Stacy
I love your Christmas tree ornaments and the coloring is beautiful. Where did you buy your baubles specifically the safe and olive ones as I am struggling to find those colors?

I love this touch of bringing forward the people who you wish were there…
Kim
I love the wooden beads on your tree. Can you advise where you found that shade?
Stacy
Hi Kim! I stained them. I went ahead and got them strung up and then dipped them into a can of dark walnut stain (by Minwax). Then I had a plastic tarp laid out and set them on that to dry.

I love this Christmas tree theme! Can you sure where you found the sage ornament bulbs? I’d love to add them to my tree! Thank you so much!

Do you remember the green colors you used and the brand?
Marian
Gorgeous tree. I love the wooden bead garland...did you make it or buy it? If you bought it, can you share where? Thanks.
Stacy
I bought a few different sizes of unfinished wood beads on amazon. Then I made different length strands (3 feet for the top, 4 feet for the next row, etc) It makes it easier to hang them if it's not on long strand. I stained them in walnut colored stain by just putting the stand directly in the stain container. Then I had a plastic tarp laid out for them to dry on.
Melanie
hi-- there are no links to photo frames or to tutorial on how to make polymer clay houses, though you responded to those requests over 2 years ago...any chance you'd link those? thanks
Stacy
Hey Melanie!
The frames are found here:https://amzn.to/324gtNC
For the clay ornaments I made a paper template and used a knife to cut them out. Then I baked them. I have a TIKTOK video and a youtube video.

Hi, I absolutely love your Christmas decor! Looking for something different this coming holiday. Could you please tell me what you used to attach the pinecone garland to your wall arch? Would love to hang garland on my wall arches, but not sure the best way to go about it without damaging the wall.
Stacy
I either use command hooks or nails. I also use thin craft wire :)
Lindsie
Hello Stacy!!
I love the way you style your home and your holiday decorations :) would you mind sharing where you got the set of wooden houses? And did the others come green or did you paint them?! Thank you so much!!
Stacy
Hi Lindsie! I actually made them myself out of 1/8" plywood and dollhouse windows from the craft store. I wish I had a tutorial for them but I was in a rush to get them done.
June
Hi Stacy! I love how you make most things yourself. I love your tree- mind sharing where your tree was purchased and if you use string lights or it’s prelit? I’m in need of a new one and really like yours- Thanks so much!
Stacy
Hi June!
I bought the tree about 10 years ago from Michael's and it is pre-lit. I really love having a pre-lit tree!
