Hello! I just love home tours and I hope you have enjoyed this one so far.
In an effort to simplify a bit, I only really decorated the family room and dining room this year. Let's start in the family room :)
I don't think you can go wrong with greenery! I also love pine cones. I use them year round in my decor but I add a ton more during the holidays.
Everyone fights over the gray reading chair. I kind of wish I had two. It usually sit in between to two sets of book shelves where the tree is now but I like it in the window best.
We make gingerbread men and houses every year and I love how it makes our home smell. This year I made more men than usual and made them into ornaments. The first batch was baked over 2 weeks ago and they still make the whole room smell delicious!
I use white chocolate to decorate them. I think white chocolate and gingerbread is one of my favorite flavor combos.
I'm kind of obsessing over green and blue plaid this year. It fits in nicely with my existing decor plus, plaid just seems to scream "Christmas".
I have a mix of artificial green and real. Luckily my mom has a ton of pine trees and several different kinds of evergreen bushes. They smell so good!
This nativity is near and dear to my heart. It was a gift from Shane when we had tiny babes and things were tight. He saved and saved to get it for me because I had mentioned that I loved it when we saw it at the bookstore.
I love doing tablescapes throughout the year, but decorating my dining room at Christmas is my all time favorite!
Our table is not huge so it means I have to keep things simple. Wood slices and fresh greenery paired with freshly baked gingerbread men make this welcoming.
I added names to each cookie too!
I had a tiny cookie cutter as well so I made smaller ornaments for the little tree in the corner. The tree also has the clay snowflake ornaments my kids made last year.
Do you think you could wait for dessert to eat your gingerbread man? My kids didn't quite make it ;)
Thank you for taking the tour of my Christmas home!

I love your tree box! Did you make that?? We have high ceilingsand that solves the problem of the tree being taller!
I did build it but the tutorial is in my book, not on my blog. I love not having to mess with a stand or tree skirt!
Your home is beautifully decorated for Christmas! You have done a wonderful job to make your home look festive. I enjoyed your photos of your Christmas home tour.

Beautiful! I love everything about your decorating!
I love your philosophy about keeping it simple. I decorated my living room and dining room only this year, though I did put a little tree in one bathroom. And the greenery is just perfect! It never ceases to amaze me how a huge difference that makes to bring the Christmas spirit in the home. Thanks for this tour. It was a refreshing change from all of these over-the-top home tours I've seen this season!
Absolutely gorgeous. Love every detail, especially the plaid. Well done.
I love it all! The blue and green plaid is speaking to me. Everything is beautiful Stacy!
Stacy, I love how you bring nature into your home and make it look so natural (like it's supposed to be there.) I especially like the blue and green color scheme you created. Thank you so much for bringing us into your home to share.
Ok, this is my first visit to your blog but I can't wait to see more! I love small cottages, and your Christmas decorating is one of my favorites that I've seen around blogland!!! Just gorgeous, so simple and festive and PERFECT! Merry Christmas to you!
You definitely can not go wrong with greenery! And it's just gorgeous with the bright blue!
