    30 minute Pizza Dough

    By Stacy 7 Comments

I don't remember where I got this recipe or I would give them the credit because it is so good and sooo easy!

    1 cup warm water
    1 packet of yeast ( or 2 ¼ teaspoons)
Add the yeast to the water and let it sit for 5 minutes
    then add
    3 tablespoons butter flavored Crisco
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon sugar
    3-4 cups flour
mix together well and let rise for 15 minutes - then it is ready!
Bake at 400 degrees until the crust is golden brown. The amount of time will depend on the size and thickness.

For years and years I hand mixed this. I just got my Bosch mixer for Christmas last year and love it. Either way it works great! It also makes wonderful bread sticks.

We make home made pizza about once a week around here. My boys love pizza night because they get to make their own.

    And watch it bake.

The Mr. and I don't see eye to eye on the toppings.

    Are you hungry yet???

What can I substitute for the butter flavored Crisco?

[...] 30-minute pizza dough by Not Just a Housewife sounds so easy. This might be a quick dough when you don’t have a couple of hours to wait for a decent homemade pizza crust and hungry hordes await. However, I would have to try it with modifications like using a healthier flour, though I am aware that this might change the timings a bit. [...]
