    Yellow Spring Mantel Decor!

    By Stacy 52 Comments

Spring is my favorite for so many reasons. It is so welcome after a long winter and I felt like this winter was the longest in history. I don't always decorate for spring, but I really needed a little pick me up. I was craving sunshine so I decided to add some yellow to my living room for the days when it's gray (which have been more often than not).  Ironically, I had to wait for a sunny day to do the photoshoot so I could share it with you. I gathered things I had, brought some spring bulbs in, and painted some inexpensive pots to create some yellow spring mantel decor.

This post is sponsored by HomeRight. All opinions and project ideas are 100% my own.

Make sure to scroll down to enter the giveaway!

What do you think of when you hear the word "spring"? I think of new green growth, sunshine, tulips, and finally hearing birds chirping again.

I didn't have a lot of yellow decor, so I used the magic of paint to transform some inexpensive pots.

I have really been itching to paint again and do more projects outside. I was happy when the temps finally hit above 50 one day. I took full advantage of it and set up my spray shelter.

I used my HomeRight Quick Finish sprayer since it is perfect for smaller projects. I love using the turntable for smaller projects too. So fast and easy!

My all time favorite thing about this sprayer is that when you are done, the motor part detaches which makes it super easy to clean.

I used the same golden yellow color that I used for the metal card catalog. It is so cheery without being too bright.

The bird picture is from Michael's. I bought a few that I am going to paint and use for something else later, but decided I liked it for this mantel too!

That yellow is very springy. I like it. I used to decorate more for Easter when my kids were little but haven’t changed things up in a while. I have a flagstone fireplace that goes to the ceiling and I’ve never figured out a good way to decorate it so it’s full of family photos. Thanks for the opportunity to win the sprayer!

I do not do much spring decorating except for getting rid of the winter decor - I really prefer simple decorating. Flowers are my favorite way to decorate and lighten up the inside of my home.

      Good Morning from California,
Yes, I do decorate a bit, my mantel and porch. When I feel a bit down or energetic, (not at the same time, 2 different emotions, definitely) I try to swap out my mantel or porch. Love the yellow idea.

I redecorate my mantle often. Spring os my favorite as well. I use blossom stems from neighborhood trees as soon as they begin to bloom, then flowers. I also bring out bird figurines and a sweet little birds nest.
I love your wood mantle and the new frame you created for over your TV. The yellow looks great; perfect amount of a perfect shade. So cheery.

The yellow used for your pots is perfect.... not too bright but a splash of color. We are headed (now that we are vaccinated) back to Arlington, VA to visit our daughter & 2 granddaughters. It’s been 16 months since we’ve seen them. In that time my daughter got a divorce & moved. I’m eager to update a few pieces of her furniture with some paint. Really interested in the painting “tent” to help with that process. But, the spray painter would be a fabulous tool to have. Keeping my fingers crossed for the win!
Oh, yes, I decorate for the seasons. It makes me happy!
