    Wire Basket Storage {Styled X3}

    By Stacy 6 Comments

    It snowed here and has been freezing COLD. It has made it hard to have any motivation at all. I slow down when it is cold and gray. I am choosing to focus on the positive like how it is suppose to be warm(er) and sunny this weekend, it's almost Thanksgiving, and that it is time for another Styled X3!!!

    This month we have the very talented Heather from Whipperberry, and the ridiculously handy Amy from Her tool Belt. The item I chose for this month was a wire basket. This one is considered their small one measuring at 14 x 9 x 8. They have other sizes and finishes too. This one was only $6.30! A total steal. Remember, the point of this challenge is to see how three different people styled and used the item in their homes. Altering the item is optional.

    I have always had the hardest time keeping my office clean. I had a place for all of my tools in my closet, but then there were random things that just didn't have a home. Things I used for photo shoots, things that would normally go in a storage room, or just random miscellaneous things that are just in a category all on their own. It seemed like I always had piles stacked up on the floor. Since I can't do anything about the square footage of my house, I decided to go vertical! I added five shelves to a wall in my office. Each shelf is over 6 feet long!

    I'm not claiming that I think my office will stay perfectly clean because of it, I mean the people living here have to actually put the things back where they go, but at least they HAVE some place to go. There is a box, bin, or basket for all those random things.

    When you have a wire basket, the things you put inside should be things that won't make you space look more cluttered. I chose my medium clear vases. Other things I have stored in wire baskets are cloth napkins, extra blankets and curtains, books, and balls of yarn.

    We have had our wall of shelves up for a couple of months and it has made a world of difference! We even have several big and medium bins that are empty so we have options if things pop up that need a home.

    Alright! Time to hop over and see what they other bloggers, Amy & Heather, did with their baskets!

      I'd love a wall of shelves like that! I could definitely use the extra storage space. Great use of that basket.

      I have a larger vintage one of these wire baskets that I picked up at an antique store. It is the perfect size to use for my stacks of magazines. I looked and looked for something for a long time. Not sure why it never occurred to me to look for wire baskets on Amazon.
