    Point Of View: April's Project

    By Stacy 37 Comments

So it is time again for the monthly POV  linky party!!! This months theme was "Spring". So First I will show you what all of us ladies did and then you will have a chance to link up any project that has to do with the theme SPRING.

    *Michelle @  A little Tipsy
    *Gwen @  Gewnny Penny
    *Camilla @Rosy Red Buttons
    *Amy @  Ameroonie Designs
    *Jonie @  Just Between Friends
Here is the tutorial for mine:

Here are all the supplies (except the glue) that I used. The unfinished wood frame cost $1.00, the paint was about the same, the foam brush is even less than that, the sticks were free (backyard) and the moss was $5 and change for the whole big bag.

The first thing you need to do is paint the frame brown. This way the parts of the frame that don't get completely covered with sticks won't be obvious.

Then use your handy dandy glue gun to glue the sticks in place. This is the most time consuming step. Be careful to not go overboard with the glue because you don't want it oozing out all over. You can make it neat with straight lines or messy like a bird's nest. It is up to you.

Then play around with the placement of the moss before you commit to gluing. Use as much or as little as you want. Once it is where you want it, then glue it down.

Easter is almost here so you could even add a little bird nest to it. How cute would this be with a Easter cross stitch or Easter print inside the frame??? Want to know a secret? Those eggs  are Cadbury Mini Eggs from my person stash. But hey, they work!

You can hang it as is. . .

...or add ribbon to hang it.

Have fun making your own version of this moss frame!!!

To link up your own SPRING themed project, head on over to A Little Tipsy!!!

Love the little nest! When I saw it at first I thought man, those remind me of mini eggs and I want to eat them. What a laugh I got when I clicked over and they actually were!

How cute that is, I just do not have any sticks in my back yarn so where else can you get sticks like that?

I know of other bloggers who have said they bought their sticks at craft stores. I would check there or find a nice neighbor with a big tree :)

Simple LOVE this idea, Stacy! What I don't love is the fact that I saw a pin to this project on Pinterest (a collage) which led to a scraper site with no link back. Here's the link: http://topdiycrafts.blogspot.co.at/2014/01/easy-way-to-make-spring-frame.html Let me know if I can help you take them down!
