    One of my painting projects

    By Stacy 11 Comments

The linky party is still open. Just scroll down to the next post!

It has been a super cold winter but yesterday was 50 degrees! So I took advantage of the warm weather an attempted some painting projects. Not all of them required the warmer weather though. I did some touch ups on the baseboards and molding and I painted this box from IKEA. When I bought it I thought it was unfinished wood. But when I went to stain it, I found out there was some kind of top coat. So I used gel stain. Then I painted it the same color as the walls in my kitchen. I waited for 24hours so the paint could cure and then I used a fine grit sand paper to make it look old. I love it! My kitchen is one (tiny) step closer to being done :)

I love the color choice! It really gives you the antique feel more than others. Love it!
