    National Pet Month

    By Stacy 63 Comments

May is one of my favorite months for many reasons. Shane's birthday, our anniversary, garden planting, and because it is National Pet Month! I don't pay attention to many "National" celebrations, but I can get behind National Donut Day, National Nap Day and definitely National Pet month.  We love our sweet French Bulldog, Kevin, and can't imagine life without him. In honor of this special occasion, I have teamed up with Febreze to bring you this post and a fun giveaway!

We tend to spoil our cute little mutt. He gets daily paw massages, treats, lots of play time, and has more dog beds, toys and bow ties than one dog really needs. But just because you spoil your pet doesn't mean you should let your pet spoil your house. When our pillows, chair, and rug start smelling like corn chips I pull out the Febreze Fabric. And when Kevin smells like he ate some bad Mexican food, I spray a little Febreze Air. I have always used Febreze and I love the new Febreze pet product line!

Febreze is offering one lucky winner a prize package including: Febreze AIR Heavy Duty Pet Odor Eliminator and Febreze Fabric Pet Odor Eliminator  plus a $50 gift card to Walmart so you can spoil your pet and keep your house from being spoiled ;)

To enter, comment below and tell me about the pet in your life that you would spoil if you won!

You must be at least 18 years old to enter. You must be a resident of the USA. The giveaway will go from May 6, 2019 until May 13, 2019. A winner will be chosen by random.org and will be notified by email. The winner will have 48 hours to respond before a new winner will be chosen. The shipping of the prize is the responsibility of the company, in this case, Febreze.

This post is sponsored by Febreze. All opinions are 100% my own!

YAY, to National Pet Month!!! We'd love to celebrate Oggie with lots of little treats throughout the month. He's a Boston Terrier and is the PRINCE in our household for sure. He always brings a smile to the entire family. Our son, Alex, is already writing up a list of items he wants to get him.

We have 3 dogs and my favourite place to be is home, hanging out with them! We enjoy walking the neighbourhood and playing in the backyard. There are times we could use some air freshening here at our house!
We have also fostered some dogs in need through a rescue group over the past 2 summers. It is hard to say goodbye and we think of them often and miss them, but they went on to their own homes so that is a good thing!

Our one year old wired hair terrier, Dadinka, is a hand full of endless energy! We love every little wiggle and lick! To keep her busy this summer, I would get her her own sand box and baby pool, with lots of toys that can be hidden in the sand and thrown in the pool for her to retrieve! She loves to dig. And then we can wash her off in the pool! Wala, happy dog!

We have 2 shih tzus, Griffin and Gracie. My daughter also has a shih tzu, Evie. We "babysit " Evie anytime my daughter goes anywhere, so that Evie doesn't have to stay home alone. So , needless to say, we have Evie a lot ! You can imagine how our home smells at times ! I'm always worried about it when someone comes over, but I can't imagine our lives without our furbabies.

Well, Mr Angus, our 6 year old Scottie, would just get a little extra love! He is definitely adored by everyone in our home & everyone who visits. He makes sure that everyone gets loved on too. He is a such a good boy, following commands, doing tricks & playing fetch with even the littlest nephew, especially when they have a treat in hand! We sure love our guy!

I have two 'boys' as I like to call them & often times my friends assume they are human children, Willie and Percy. Willie is ten, and Percy is seven. Willie is named after my father Bill and is the only grandcat to carry on his namesake. Percy was adopted from a neighborhood litter. Momma used to bring her litter over to my porch (aka the lido deck) every night for dinner. It was there that he won my heart with his sad songs. He was the most talkative kitten I'd ever heard. Oh the stories!!! Something told me that Percy Sledge would take no offense if I named my kitty after him... after all, he was a black kitty who seemed to sing the blues every chance he got. It worked on me!
If I were to win, I'd splurge on new interesting toys for my boys. Anyone who has owned, or been owned by a cat rather, knows that toys are played with for short time and then either disappear or become old news quickly! There is always room for something new!

We have 3 girls: a foxhound (9 yrs old), a spaniel mix (3 yrs old) and a 9 yrs old yorkie who is now living with my inlaws and is having the best of her life being spoiled rotten by them. Actually not sure who is being spoiled - they just have a grand time of their life together and I am so happy for my inlaws! :-) The other 2 girls just being lazy most of the time: laying around, eat, sleep and getting fat .. LOL! Thanks you for this opportunity.

We currently have 11 animals, 5 donkeys who live out in their pasture and in the house, we have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a bunny. We have two 11 year Golden Retrievers. They are so different in their personalities. But the one thing they love to do in roll around on our great room throw carpet! Sometimes it is necessary to freshen that carpet, if you know what I mean. I wish they always smelled as if they just stepped out of the groomers, but sometimes they smell like dogs!

We rescued a calico cat that was really skinny when she wondered into our yard (fall 2015). My husband was bound and determined to be friends with her. Everyday he went outside with food and water for her and would talk to her like they were old friends, finally she came closer to him. Winter came (Michigan) and he made a cat house for her to stay in because she still wouldn't come up to us. On New Years day 2016 my husband opened the door and she came in the house and has been in ever since and he named her Honey. Honey would receive more cat treats and some new toys!!!
