    Flip Flops Cake

    By Stacy 1 Comment

I used to have a birthday blog but then this blog took off and the domain of the birthday blog got stolen, so I shut it down. I am transferring the cake tutorials of the cakes I made here :)

    The Flip Flops Cake

I LOVE this cake! I made it for a friend's little girl who was having a pool party. Who doesn't love flip flops? These are a breeze to make. I baked a cake in a 9x13 pan. I cut the cake in half and then used a pattern I drew on paper to cut out the shapes. Remember to turn the pattern over to do the second one so you have a left and a right shoe. When you have a cake that you carve out it is important to crumb coat it. If you are unsure of what that is check out my helpful hints link on the side bar listed with all the cakes. I used fruit roll ups for the straps and crushed up Graham crackers for the sand. So fun!!!
