    Favorite Things 2015 Edition

    By Stacy 7 Comments

Every year for the past several years I have shared my favorite things that I discovered throughout the year. Other bloggers do this as well and I always look forward to reading all of their posts.

This is not a sponsored post. I just want to share my favorite finds from this year but I did add some affiliate links in the post.

I love to read. I read a lot of book every month. I like to read a variety of books on just about every topic but really if I am being honest, my favorite kind are good clean romances. At the end of a long day I like to sit down to a good story and not have to think too hard. I like to forget about bills and work, and cleaning. These two books have been my favorite this year! I think Edenbrooke
squeaks in at first place with Blackmoore  a very close second. If you have read them, I'd love to know what you thought!

We won this speaker at Shane's work Christmas party. We were needing a good wireless bluetooth speaker for when we used out projector for outside movies. This UE BOOM  speaker ROCKS!!! Now we use it for movies and for dance parties :) Cleaning the house is so much more fun with music blaring :)

If you follow me a lot then you know that I struggle in the winter. I surround myself with plants and flowers and it helps a lot. But I also miss my garden during the cold months. I got an Aerogarden this year and fell in love! I was so fun to watch it grow. I am doing herbs again this year but also flowers.  This is their new smaller version. I have the 7 hole one. There are a lot of different sizes :)

I got this DOHM sound machine for a sponsored post with the Sleep Foundation this spring. I was not jazzed about using it. I had never wanted one and honestly thought it would annoy me. You guys, I have had the best sleep of my life this year! If you would have told me before using it that I would add it to my favorite things list I would have thought you were nuts. But it has helped me fall asleep so much faster. I struggled with being able to wind down. It also saved us when we got a puppy this summer. Once we moved him into our room and used this when we put him to bed, he would fall asleep almost immediately. It's magic. I imagine it would be fantastic for babies too.

I bought these wood bowls for a Styled X3 challenge and I think they are so pretty! I am ordering more to use as salad bowls but I have also used one as a succulent planter. Wood grain is so sexy :)

This bookcase is currently in my kids' room and is my favorite because it looks EXACTLY like reclaimed wood but is easy to wipe clean. And bookcases can be used for so many things! You can get it at Walmart for about $120 or for a little more you can just order it on Amazon.

I'm not sure why I am so obsessed with this lamp from IKEA but I added it to my gallery wall in the Better Homes and Gardens challenge in NYC and to my gallery wall in my living room. I kind of want one in every room. It is only about $20 from IKEA. If you don't have an IKEA close you can also get it on Amazon.

I would love to hear what some of your favorite finds were this year. If you have a favorite treat, book, or product please leave it in the comments. I love discovering fun new things!

I loved the Selection series (The Selection, The Elite, and The One). I also liked My Own Mr. Darcy, An Uncertain Choice, The Secret Of Pembrooke, Hearts in Hiding, The matched series (Matched, Crossed, Reached) and The Imitation series (The Imitation, Deviation, Generation) I am sure there are a ton more but that is what I can think of off the top of my head.

You want me to list things I like? Not sure why, but I will list some. I must have time on my hands and want to be Oprah. Seriously, you asked me to list some.

I am a huge reader and I haven't read these books, they've been recommended to be by previous purchases, but because I want a CLEAN romance, I'm always hesitant to look at new books. I'm so excited to check out a new author knowing they are clean! Have you ever read books by Marcia Lynn McClure? She writes clean romances, some are fairy tale inspirations, some are period and some are modern, but I LOVE them all! The Heavenly Surrender is probably my favorite followed by Touch of Sage. Thanks again!

I'm sure I've probably suggested this to you before, but I love Susanna Kearsley's books. Clean romances and great stories. "The Winter Sea," "Shadowy Horses," and "Every Secret Thing" are my favorites.
