    Citrus Strawberry Drink

    By Stacy 18 Comments

It finally warmed up here in Utah and I have been hard at work doing yard work. Lots of yard work. I wanted to share with you one of my favorite drinks to have on a warm day.

    citrus-strawberry-drink

It is ridiculously easy to make. Here is all you need:

    1 Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate

2 Lemons (or ¼ cup bottled lemon juice)

    5-8 Large Strawberries

I add the lemon juice and strawberries to the blender with a little water and blend that up before ever adding the orange juice. Orange juice tends to get foamy real fast so I add that last. I also like to let my concentrate thaw all the way before using it. Once I add the concentrate I then add the normal amount of water (like if I were just making the orange juice) minus what I added with the strawberries earlier.

Here are the cute lids I use on the jars!

I like mine a little sour but if you want to sweeten it up add your choice of sweetener ( like sugar, stevia, honey, etc.)

It is perfect for drinking in the shade on a hot summer day. It is also yummy for breakfast to get your day started.

***Here is a little tip...... Add ice and make it a smoothie! Just reduce the amount of water you add so it doesn't taste watery.

Thank you for sharing. I like to blend strawberries, a little milk, and honey together til smooth. Then I add a few drops of Young Living Lemon essential oil, and sometimes also a few drops of Young Living Orange essential oil. Also sometimes I'll add a little ice for a smoothie. So good and refreshing!

[…] It’s strawberry season!   Love love love strawberries, and not just in my desserts but in salads, salsas, sauces, and sandwiches (the 4 S’s!!).  But most of all I love myself a little strawberry action in my drinks.  It’s the perfect flavor and it pairs beautifully with so many other fruits, juices or other flavored drinks.   So while looking for yummy summer cocktails to make that used strawberries, I decided to just do a round-up and post of the strawberry drinks that I was looking at.  There’s a little bit of everything going on…so take a look and enjoy and hopefully it will inspire you guys to try some strawberry drinks of your own.
