    1970's Ranch Rambler {Home Tour}

    By Stacy 4 Comments

    Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. Utah finally remembered what winter was and we ended up with almost a foot of snow. The boys were excited to finally be able to go sledding and I enjoyed having Shane home to help with basement projects. I am getting so excited to share some basement progress with you later this month!

    I have a treat for you today! My friend Becky recently purchased a home in her hometown to flip. She bought it back in October and has finally finished the transformation. She did such a beautiful job and has it staged so well that I thought it would be fun to give you a tour.

    Becky used to drive by this home all the time growing up and when it became available to buy, she snatched it up. It needed a little work...

    It is pretty easy to tell just from looking at it that it was built in the 70's. Hello wood paneling!

    The bathrooms left much to be desired.

    You won't even recognize the stone fireplace when you see the after photos!

    The photos are courtesy of Laura Fox

    The home is located in Elk Ridge, Utah which is nestled in the foothills of the mountains and has stunning views of the valley below. It is a coveted area here in Utah. I grew up not too far from here in a spot that is a bit more rural. It is my favorite part of Utah!

    Right when you walk in you are hit with the fabulous style and fun details that have been added to this home.

    You guys! SO much sunlight! I could not live in a home that didn't have gobs of natural light. I could happily snuggle up on this couch and read. It is such a large space you could easily entertain as well. You know, if you weren't a big fat introvert ;)

    This sitting area already has my vote because of the blue velvet chairs, but check out that fireplace! The mantel is GORGEOUS. Becky found it for sale online. It came from an old historic home in Provo, Utah. I think if I were trying to decide on this home, that would be what tipped me over the edge.

    This house has 5 bedrooms but I just picked a couple to show you. There are so many photos so if you want to see them all, you can visit the listing.

    Can you believe this kitchen!? Pretty amazing.

    The bathrooms are so much better! Nice and neutral :)

    I'm so proud of Becky for tackling this huge project on her own. The end result is stunning and I am sure it will sell quickly.

    Thanks for taking the tour. I will be back later this week with some projects!

      What a huge project! I can't believe it's the same house!!! But with all the techniques of modern day at her finger tips she did a really great job! The staging is also amazing! You really do just want to curl up in front of that fireplace and read a good book! I hope you let her know just how we all feel about her work! LOVE IT!!!

      Gosh - what a fabulous transformation! And what excellent value for money - a UK to UT move would save me an absolute fortune!
