    Top Projects from 2017

    By Stacy 7 Comments

Happy 2018! I can't believe it is already a new year. I feel like 2017 whizzed by! One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is to look back at all the projects I have done. It is kind of like looking at a to-do list that is all checked off.

I have joined over 30 other bloggers who will all be sharing their Top performing post from 2017. So sit back and relax because you about to see the best of the best in home decor and DIY projects!

15 Easy To Care For Plants

If you a regular reader, you know my undying love for houseplants. My kids sometimes sing "welcome to the jungle" when they walk in the door. Some may call it an obsession while I call it green therapy. I shared my favorite, easy to care for plants that even a beginner can have success with!

    Luxury Closet Makeover

I was asked to complete a luxury makeover on a walk-in closet. It was such a fun project! I don't normally have such a large budget. The closet has a "his" and a "hers" side that are catered to each person and they way they like to organize their clothes. The show stopper was that crystal chandelier! You have to go see all the other details!

    Planter Box Fence

This was one of the largest outdoor projects I have tackled. Each section of the "fence" was 25 feet long. It keeps our dog in the yard, hides the composter and wood pile, and also is a giant planter box! I can't wait until next summer when the raspberries start coming on! Head over to see the full planter box fence.

    Modern Planter

I love making planters! I haven't counted how many tutorials I have for them, but this is definitely one of my favorites! It was pretty easy to build too. This planter box will either go in one of my sons' new rooms or in the down hall as soon as we get the flooring installed. I love that I can just wheel it around!

    Blue & White Bathroom Reveal

This is the project I was the most excited about this year. Our bathroom was partially torn apart for years. It is so nice to have it (mostly) functional. I am looking forward to finishing the shower this year! I love everything but the shelves above the toilet and the mirror's awesome secret are my favorite thing about the bathroom.

    Easy DIY Outdoor Chairs

Winter can be pretty, but I miss sitting around our firepit with the kids and roasting hot dogs or marshmallows. It is a fun gathering place in our yard. This year I finally got around to building chairs so we didn't have to haul out the dining room chairs everytime we used it. I love them! They were an easy DIY too.

    DIY Bathroom Vanity

Have you ever considered building your own vanity? I promise it is not as hard as you might think! I had to build one for our 1938 bathroom since it is so narrow and store bought vanities stuck out from the wall too much. It turned out exactly like I wanted it to!

Glass Light Shade Vase: Three Ways!

I had this extra globe light shade laying around for months. One day I thought that I should use it for something. I came up with three different types of vases and couldn't decide which to make so I just made them all! Which one is your favorite?

    Tool Closet Makeover

I am not sure what all exactly others store in their office closets but I am assuming it would be things like office supplies or craft supplies. I have tools :) I store all my DIY supplies like tools, paint, stain, wire, painter's tape, ect. There are so many things, most of them small, and so it requires lots of baskets and bins. Head over to see the full closet and how I organize everything!

5 Ways to Use a Tiered Tray

I found this darling tiered tray at Walmart of all places. It was from the BHG collection and super inexpensive. I currently use it in my office but I have used it in other rooms of the house and for many different reasons. Some ways you may not have ever considered. Check out all the ways you can use it!

Wow. Great collection of projects; great skill set. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite, but the bathroom is one of my faves. Very inspirational for the new year. Can't wait to see what you do this year.
