I used to have a birthday party blog. Then this blog took off and then the birthday blog’s domain was stolen so I decided to shut it down. I am now transferring the cake tutorials over to this blog :)
The Sunglasses Cake
This was a fun cake to make. I made it for a friend whose daughter was having a pool party. It went along with the swimming suit cake and the flip flop cake. Since I made this cake before I created this blog, I don’t have pictures of the process. I drew a picture of how I cut the round cake instead. I hope that helps. You discard ( or eat!) the triangle shaped pieces. Then one of the shapes you turn over onto its other side. Then you match them up. When you go to frost it, frost the whole thing yellow and then add the brown on top. I pipe the outline of the “lens” first and then fill it in. It makes it easier. The sky is the limit when it comes to decorating this one. Glittery, stripes, dots, flowers!!!
