    Simple Fall Decor {Home Tour}

    By Stacy 6 Comments

    I love Fall! Even though it is mid September, because of the weird spring weather, it has delayed the onset of Autumn. The leaves have not started to change color yet. Even up in the mountains the leaves are mostly green. We had to drive to the top of the mountain just to get a few branches of leaves that were sort of turning colors. So my plans and my color scheme changed and at first I was disappointed, but now I am slightly obsessed with the greens, golds, and browns. As per usual, I used things I already had, repurposed items, and collected things from nature. I prefer simple Fall decor. Thanks for letting me share my Fall home tour today! If you are here from Rachel's blog, Shades of Blue, WELCOME!

    living room with fall decor

    Confession time... After taking down my Christmas gallery wall in MARCH, I patched the holes and had plans to create a new gallery wall. It ended up being blank all spring and summer. It feels good to have frames back up on the wall!

    fall decor

    We got family pictures taken last Fall so I added those as well as some printables and framed leaves.

    fall art framed on wall

    I like to keep things simple on the mantel since out television is behind the art in the frame. My family get annoyed if there are too many decoration covering the TV. I have about 6 or 7 different options of art that I can pop in and out of the frame to hide the TV when we aren't using it.

    Pinecones, pumpkins, and more leaves adorn the shelves.

    I have a tutorial for the woven leather pillow coming soon! The boys think it needs to go in their room :)

      Pretty touches for fall. My favorite is acorns and dried Hydrangeas.

      Enjoy your afternoon

      Hello. I wonder if you have a "plan" mapped out as for placement of things above the couch? I have a a full size couch and a wall that needs "something". I also want to know how much space there should be between the bottom row of the items on the wall and the top of the back of the couch. There must be references to this kind of info somewhere, can you give me an idea, so I can check it out, myself. Thanks.
      I love the simplicity of your designs. Just the right amount of special interest in the rooms and on the walls. :)
