    Meet The Blogger {Cherished Bliss}

    By Stacy 1 Comment

    I have a real treat for you today. I get to introduce you to my darling friend Ashley who is the makeover queen! I'm sad she has moved away from Utah, but I have loved following her adventures of fixing up their newest (old) home! She is going to share 5 room makeovers for the DIY enthusiast.

    Meet Ashley!

    Hi there!! I'm Ashley from Cherished Bliss and I'm so excited to be here on Stacy's blog with you today! Fun fact, I think she was one of the very first DIY bloggers I started following. I've had the pleasure of meeting her in person and she's just the absolute sweetest and funniest person you'll ever meet! Here's a quick bit about me. We move, ALOT... like 12 times in 12 years of marriage. We just bought a house built in 1865 and I'd have to say it's our biggest project to date (we call it #thecherishedhouse). I'd love for you to stop by the blog or follow me on Instagram and keep up with all the behind the scenes shenanigans ;).

    5 Room Makeovers for the DIY Enthusiast

    Rustic Modern Kitchen Before and After Let's start with my most recent and biggest renovation - our kitchen. I'll admit a lot of the stuff that gets done around here is purely due to the deadlines of running a blog. We completely gutted and remodeled this kitchen ourselves in 6 weeks. It was rough and I distinctly remember tiling until 4am. Looking back it was worth every single second because after not cooking in a kitchen any kitchen is worth that kind of work, haha! But really, I kinda love my kitchen in a totally creepy way! Like I stare at it and talk about it in my sleep. I stalk my own house. 100% normal right?? See all the details here.

    Black and White Industrial Bathroom There was a certain period of time where we were wrapping this space up while demoing the kitchen. We don't really remember much from that part of our lives, but I do love showering in here... that I know. I'll admit this wasn't the most budget friendly bathroom renovation, but it was super expensive either because it's so small. The pictures honestly make it look quite a bit bigger than it really is. And since this was such a small space I went a little crazy with the tile. I realllllly wanted a curbless shower, so tiling all the things felt right. See the full reveal here.

    Pink and Gold Girls Bedroom In case you missed this little detail from my two previous room makeovers, color isn't really my thing. I'm really big on neutrals, though I did throw down a colorful rug in our "sitting area". But my daughter is 100% opposite of me. She'd have glitter of every color on her ceiling if I let her. Ok, maybe not that extreme.... but she does love color and insisted on pink walls in her room. We settled on this pink board and batten and to be honest I had so much fun designing this space with her. It for sure pushed me to a new level. See the whole process here.

    Modern Laundry Room Well, that about covers it for spaces in our new house I've actually completed, so let's take a stroll down memory lane and take a peek into our house in Utah that we sold last year. It was a much newer house but very builder grade so we went through almost every room upgrading it and just putting our little touches on it. This laundry room severely lacked storage so that was my number one goal and we ended up truly loving this room. Also, that floor is totally painted, so be sure and check that post out if you want to update your vinyl floors. See the full reveal here.

    Industrial Boys Bedroom This would be the room I would want if I was a little girl again... black wall and all. I was a tomboy then and I'm sure if I could go back in time I'd still be a tomboy. My oldest totally gets me and is a lover of all things black as well. So naturally we filled his room with a black wall, lots of gray, and leather. I never got around to completely finishing his room, but it was close and I will be doing his new room very similarly since he didn't get to enjoy this very long at all. See the details here.

      So there are my 5 room makeovers that any DIYer can do. Some might be a little bit harder than others, but if I can do it... so can you! I've got lots of tutorials for some of the things you see here, so make sure and check those out. A big big thank you to Stacy for having me over today. I hope you'll stop by and keep up with all our craziness at Cherished Bliss! Have a Beautiful Day, Ashley
