    Meet The Blogger {Cami from Tidbits}

    By Stacy 1 Comment

    I have a special treat for you today! I get to introduce you to my friend Cami. I feel like her projects and photography will speak for themselves but I will tell you anyway that she is crazy talented. I adore her style and could look through her pictures all day long. You are going to love her and her blog!

    Meet Cami!

    Hello friends of Stacy Risenmay! Isn't she wonderful??!! Stacy is not only someone I admire online, but my dear dear friend in real life. She is often my travel buddy and roomie when we go to blogging conferences, and I assure you - she is a delight to be around. She makes me laugh, she makes me cry, and she is kind to everyone she meets.

    I'm so excited to introduce myself a bit to you and tell you about my blog TIDBITS. I love sharing inspiration for do-it-yourself living with my readers, particularly teaching people how to love their home no matter the stage of life they are in.

    I like to define my style as a mix between a Farmhouse in France and a Cottage on the Coast. Here is a glimpse at a couple rooms in my home.

    Now, when I think of Stacy, I think of the ultimate power tool woman. This girl can build anything! As it goes, my Mr. TIDBITS does the building around our home, because I'm still pathetically afraid of power tools. One of these day's Stacy will rub off on me, and I might pick up an electric sander or something ;)

    Nonetheless, I wanted to show you some of the DIY projects Mr. TIDBITS has done with me, and that we've provided how-to's for. Then perhaps one of these days, we will have a power tool competition to see if Stacy or Mr. TIDBITS will conquer. My bet is on Stacy ;)

    Because it is a patriotic Holiday today (Happy Memorial Day!), I'll start by showing you my Star Spangled Wood Tray. I painted it with a potato stamp, and then my husband attached some hardware. I know . . . I should probably know how to do at least that.

    One of our favorite projects we made with wood are these Antique Cutting Boards. We actually took some old wood we had collected, then cut out a variety of shapes. I happen to have 10 cutting board printables for you as well so you can make your own. These are great for gifts or as functional decorating around the home.

    How to make an "antique" cutting board. Carve unique shapes into old wood for a charming cutting board with a vintage look.

    I know Stacy does a lot of beautiful outdoor projects, and one I really enjoyed doing was our Mailbox Makeover. You should pop over and see the really sad before image to really appreciate this project.

    Perhaps the biggest undertaking we had in our home was to replace the flooring. But when we did, it made the biggest design impact of all. I now tell people to not hesitate for a second to replace their flooring if they hate it or if it clashes with their space. It's literally the foundation of a room in function and design. We do DIY big and small, and this DIY Cell Phone Stand and Accessory Holder comes in really handy near a computer or at your bedside.

    The best thing about having such a handy husband is the ability to design and build custom furniture to fit our spaces. The 18 Drawer Apothecary Cabinet Plans was no doubt difficult to build, but works as incredible office storage and a work surface.

    To wrap this up, I want to share a wood project I did all by my big girl self. I learned how to transfer printed images onto wood and made these Botanical Wood Slices.

    Oh, all right. Mr. TIDBITS cut the wood slices for me . . . but that's not what the post is about.

    I loved being here today, and hope to get to know you better at TIDBITS. I'd love to have you sign up for my email updates and gain access to my TIDBITS SUBSCRIBER LIBRARY where I share free printables and exclusive content regularly.

    Thanks for having me Stacy!
