You guys! It has been forever since I posted a video. Let me explain....
When we filmed these last year we did them all in two days. That is why when you watch them, there is no improvement. If we had filmed one each week, I feel like we would have slowly got the hang of it and would have gotten better over time. But it is hard to improve a ton over two days.
Then my hubby got a new job after being laid off (yay!) but he has a LOOOOOONG commute and works long hours. So over the last 9 months or so we really only have had Saturdays to do, well, anything. And we have been filling it with DIY projects and family time. So we haven't done anymore filming.
BUT we have big plans.
When I went to ALT in January I went to all of their video classes. I learned how we could improve. I learned what equipment we needed. And I learned that we really should rehearse even if it is a just a little (we were just going off the cuff to make it as authentic as possible.)
BONUS! My husband's current job is at an interior design firm! So he is leanring more about that side of things and not just the architectural aspect. So he will have even more to say I am sure :)
But, the equipment means money. And since we are still crawling out of the hole that unemployment put us in, it may be a bit. So in the mean time, here is one from "the vault" as they say.
What are things you see people do that bug you when it comes to decorating? Come on..... SPILL it!

I don't like when a home looks like each decoration looks like it was bought for sake of having an object... No meaning or personality! I love going into a home that has things that you can tell are meaningful to the family and tell a story.... Souvenirs, art, photos etc.
Totally agree with you, the whole store bought look drives me a little bonkers. You guys are too cute!

I don't like it when people have TOO many items - it's overwhelming. I mean tchotkes EVERYWHERE, walls filled, rooms loaded with furniture . . . . I just think less is more. Also I can't imagine cleaning that!
Pictures hung way to high and couches all pushed against the wall when there is room for a conversational area! Drives me nuts! Oh and super barren rooms where it doesn't look like it's the style...it just looks like they don't care to take the time to hang pictures etc...
