    Heat Gun Projects

    By Stacy 72 Comments

When I first heard that HomeRight made heat guns quite a while back, I didn't really think I would ever use one. But one day I had an idea for a project that would require something hot to melt it. I have to tell you that once I use used it I was hooked!

One of the first projects I used it on was this fun bowl made from plexiglass. I had no idea if it would work out and I had never done anything like it but I had so much fun melting and bending it into shape.

It isn't just for projects. I used it to melt the sugar on top of my super easy to make creme brulee.

The holidays are coming and I know you are dying to make these icicle ornaments. They are SUPER easy!

I turned a fail (a big fat fail) into one of my favorite projects with this funky modern vase.

I've only ever done a couple of knock offs. Why did I choose this one of all things to recreate? Well, there's a story behind it....

My all time favorite project from my book is this terrarium side table. After sanding the edges, they were white and cloudy. By using the heat gun along the edges they returned to clear and were softened. It made it more polished and finished looking.

There are many other uses for heat guns including:

    *Removing old paint

*Removing bumper sticker or stickers on other surfaces

*Embossing *Shrink wrap (gifts, products, windows)

    *Thaw frozen pipes

    *Upholstering something in Vinyl

*Heating floor adhesive for easier removal

    *Bending PVC pipe
