I love herringbone and I love that this classic pattern is rising again in popularity. I have seen it used in so many different ways. I love that there are modern takes on a traditional pattern. I have gathered some of my favorite examples to show you why I am crushing on herringbone.
I am in the market for a few new rugs and several herringbone rugs have caught my eye. I love this one in a shared kid space!

I've decided my favorite colors for the herringbone pattern are blue and gray. This is another example of the whimsy it can add to a space without completely taking over.

This flooring is stunning! And while I have literally sat and stared at it for longer than I care to admit, I wonder if it would get old if you lived with it in all the rooms of your space. What do you think?

As someone who has cut and installed tile, I think it is amazing that not only the tile is in this pattern, but that the lines within the tile also match that pattern. So incredibly beautiful!

Upholstery is probably the first thing most people think of when they hear "herringbone". I have a bench upholstered in gray herringbone and I love it. Not only does it look nice, it is such a durable fabric. This navy chair is so pretty!

I love herringbone too so I sure give it a 10. None in my home but I also need a rug or 2, and I am leaning that way. Thanks for your examples.
Assuming 10 is absolute love, then a 10! I love every picture you included here. Funny thing is, I never really got into chevrons, which are so similar I can't understand the difference. Just know I love herringbone.
So many fantastic looks! I love the kitchen and bathroom tiles and the flooring! And the wallpapers! Never thought I'd like herringbone so much. Wonderful pics.
I must be loving it a bunch too because I just bought a new quilt that's teal, but has a herringbone pattern stitched on. Its Relaxed Wash Quilt from Target. Along with that I had already been looking at some awesome herringbone rugs to go with it.
