2024 was a unique year in the sense that we experienced some of our highest highs and our lowest lows. It had lots of life changing events, some of which prevented me from blogging as much as I have in the past (a life update post will be coming soon!). But I still managed to create some projects that I am proud of. Here are a few of my favorite ones!
Garden Fence
I still get giddy every time I look out the window and see my garden fence. It makes me so happy every time I can cross off a large outdoor project off my list! I completed this project while in pain from a pinched nerve so I relied a lot on Shane's help.
I'm looking forward to spring when I can get out in the garden again. But it looks pretty cute covered in snow too.
Raised Beds With Enclosure
I loved building these raised beds for my mom. Even if we had to change the plan at the last minute to include the enclosures after we realized the deer nearby might eat all her tomatoes.
They are the perfect height for my mom to be able to garden without bending. And I love that they are right outside her back door.
Dance Floor
I DIYed everything for our son's wedding but my favorite project of all was the dance floor. Partly because I wasn't sure if I could come up with a design that would be strong enough for a ton of people to jump and dance around on, and partly because every single person in our family worked together to make it and it made the whole process so much fun.
It looked beautiful in the yard surrounded by flowers. It held up well and is storage until someone else in our family needs it.
Checkered Vase
Sometimes I have an idea for a project and because it is small and isn't a need, it gets pushed down the to-do list. I was thrilled to finally make time for this simple project. Glass etching is quite addicting!
Kitchen Cabinets
I have absolutely LOVED having more color in my kitchen! The green makes my heart happy. At first it bothered me that it looks like a different shade of green depending on the lighting and time of day, but now I have come to terms with it. The pale gray from before always looked the same so I think it just took me a bit to get used to the idea.
The contact paper in the drawers and cabinets shelves is also such a fun touch. I am glad I took the extra time to wrap everything.
I am looking forward to sharing more from my son's wedding from this past year. I also have some life updates that I will be posting about soon. Thank you for being a part of my 2024 and for supporting me by reading and sharing my projects. I love the community that blogging and social media has brought me throughout the years. Thank you!!!
