    White Walls & Progress

    By Stacy 4 Comments

Both coats of white are up. Baseboards, trim, and touch ups are finished and the furniture is back in place. It is a white wonderland in our family room and it is just begging for some color!

I thought I would give you a taste of what it is looking like here right now.

A new coat of paint makes everything seem so fresh and new. I decided to go ahead and deep clean while I was at it. It feels like we just moved in when I walk in here. Jury is out if that is a good thing or not :)

the family room so far - progress

I haven't replaced my lens that broke or the tripod, so getting good shots proved difficult. Hopefully I can get some new gear before the room reveal.

The door, floors and plants are really popping against the white!

And my next step is to get things on the walls. I have been playing around with gallery arrangements for above the couch.

I have so many things already I just shopped around my house for options. I did buy a sweet wall lamp from IKEA though!

I am toying around with the idea of changing the layout. Nothing drastic, but I feel like it needs a change. How often do you change the layout of your rooms? Or do you always keep it the same?

The walls were a last minute decision but I have most of the accessories and pillows already since I have been planning on changing them out for a long time. So the final reveal should not be too far off :)

I love white walls, my very favorite. You can do so much and everything is so clean.

I am always changing our furniture around. Hubby says it's not safe to walk through the house in the dark cause he can't remember where furniture is located! I do love changing out things in our home! After debating colors for over a year, I just put a coat of primer on our dark brown paneling walls in our family room. It feels bigger and brighter already. Can't wait to do the actual painting next week. This will be the first time for me to paint walls WHITE! I am wanting a fresh, clean look. The family room is adjoining our small kitchen w/ white cabinets and dark gray walls. I am planning to add pops of aqua, yellow, and corral with pillows, etc. Can't wait to see what you're up to!
