Wow, these are all amazing! It is going to be hard to vote for just one.
No Way!!! I am soooo excited to have my Laundry Room with Moveable Closet included with all these amazing projects!! Thank you so much!
I've had a life-long fascination with green woodwork. I don't know why, but it really appeals to me. I finally took the plunge and painted the woodwork in my dining room green, and it pleases me no end. Thus, I'm drawn to the green cabinets in this kitchen. A bright, refreshing change from all white. I also like the lighting and the accents. Really a fun, unusual, sophisticated kitchen. But, admittedly, hard to choose one project from this list--lots of great ideas here.
I really wish I could vote for them ALL! These are exemplary choices! Well done judges! Best wishes to all the contestants!
What a lovely array of projects to chose from; I am drawn to the shared boys room with it's ingenious design and fresh, clean feel. Something you hardly can use together in a sentence with a boys room: fresh and clean. However, the nostalgia of the green kitchen beckons me and takes me back in time to when I would spend hours following my Granny around her kitchen watching her cook and hoping for a few nibbles of homemade goodness. One look at this kitchen and I can once again imagine myself perched on Grannny's bench, sipping tea with milk, swinging my legs that at the time couldn't reach the floor. Ah, the fond memories.
Oh my goodness, I can't believe I made the top 10. That is sooo amazing!
I love all of these projects. Great job ladies!!! I must say the Green Kitchen won me over, well done.
What amazing talent out there! Well done everyone!
Amazing job!
I've followed all the way. Love it
Followed this lady through the whole project. She worked damn hard and deserves the vote!
A complete makeover, from top to bottom absolutely beautiful! Love the trim and lighting Kristin deserves the win! The other projects were all great!
Awesome job and beautiful kitchen. She should win hands down.
Kristi from Addicted 2 Decorating should win hands down!
I really love the green kitchen. Kristi has put so much love and effort into that room and it's all her own work from the floors to the ceiling. Those cupboards look sensational, specially in that amazing green color and the gold highlight!
I love so many of these. I need that laundry room and the pallet deck is cool but I really, really WANT that green kitchen!
Kristi didn't just paint kitchen cabinets. Nope! She removed the old, installed the new. That girl pulled up the old floor and laid down a new one. She knocked out walls, added tiles. That was a remodel from top to bottom. I love the concrete countertops! #AddictedtoDecorating
Kristi from Addicted 2 Decorating!
You should have seen what she started with - Nothing at all like this. Kristi di everything herself! Including tear outs and installation, ceiling to floor. One of the things I love about Kristi is that she's not shy about telling us about mistakes, so we can learn along with her. She is an inspiration. And if you like her kitchen you should see the rest of her work! And just a word for those who may not share Kristi's taste, if you follow Kristi, you just have to admire her dedication and resourcefulness. <3
I'm with you Lara! That woman is astonishingly good at what she does, and just so inspiring and empowering for other women. And, as you say, shares her mistakes, too.
Good Luck!
I love Kristi's green kitchen makeover and followed this work through its transformation. She did about 95% of this reno herself, including electrics, pouring concrete bench tops, taking plain cabinets and transforming them into those glam, bold ones you see now. I'd encourage anyone to go to her site and actually look through the progress of that reno, as it was gob-smackingly fabulous. Good luck Kristi!
Wish I had a mudroom like that!
I love this remodel. The green is beautiful. I love her blog, I hope she wins!
I followed Kristi as she gutted that kitchen and built it from scratch up! So I know she deserves the prize! Had I not been familiar with her I would have had a very hard time picking any of them as #1, CAUSE I LOVED THEM ALL! Great Job to all contest DIYers!
Thanks !
There are some really awesome projects here!!! But I will admit, I've followed Kristi's green kitchen makeover (that name doesn't do it justice :) ) from the beginning and she is one spunky, determined woman. From concept to finish she has soldiered on inspite of setbacks, disappointments and challenges. I admire her for her ability to take on whatever it will take to see a project through, learning new skills, even when it changes midway! I know that one person's vision isn't always obvious to someone else but that's life....her kitchen wouldn't work for me, there are things about it that I love more than others, but she loves it and she's my hero for doing it! She has my utmost respect and I'm pleased to be able to support her with my vote!
this was a down to the studs reno of outstanding workmanship or should I say one workwomanship! Amazing!!
My inspiration to redo my own - used her recommendation on several things including the hardwood flooring nailer and finishes - my makeover is completely rustic but her advise was so helpful...thank goodness for her help and she did most all by herself! A true inspiration and DIY'er! All the makeovers are wonderful!
The green kitchen is great... such a lot of work went into this... this lady rocks...
great.
When Kristi tore out her kitchen ceiling to find all the slipshod workmanship, and all of that contaminated insulation that fell into her kitchen, I shivered until I shrank. While she hired someone to straighten out the bad heating ductwork, she did the rest herself. Drywalling a ceiling must be very hard, but she didn't hesitate. And all those recessed lighting and decorative lighting that turned her "cave" into an elegant room is wonderful. She learned how to install electrical wiring, etc. in order to complete this project. She moved every single thing in the old kitchen layout. And with only her brother to help her, she installed a huge support beam where she took down a load bearing wall. And she installed new oak flooring to match the old oak floors in the rest of her house (which she refinished single-handedly, by the way). She painted the new floor, repainted the new floor, and finally stripped it down and refinished it to match her other rooms. This girl takes you for one wild ride on her blog! Be sure to check it out.
Love her gumption and her work!
i followed Kristi.as she did her kitchen remodel. Was in awe everyday
Kristi worked tirelessly on this project. She did everything in the picture, even poured the cement counter tops. She deserves recognition for her ingenuity, immense talent, and hard work.
love it
I love all the makeovers but green is my favorite color and , Wow what a great job she did on the kitchen...:)
If you don't follow "Addicted 2 Decorating" (#6 Green Kitchen Makeover), please go to her blog site to see what she started with. She did this ALL BY HERSELF (except some help from brother with Electrical and lifting a header), tearing down to studs, redesigning layout and doorways, and every other little iota of construction. She is a one woman whiz! And just look at the gorgeous result. All the projects are wonderful; I'm just amazed by Superwoman!
im voting for Kirsti's Green Kitchen. The reason is for dedication to her plans and the exucutation of her workman ship. I live in Australia and have followed her projects with much admiration for a small woman who manages jobs that grown Men would walk away from. The style and colour is very elegant and beautifully excuted. So I wish her all the best for a good win.
I'm not sure if everyone knows... but the green kitchen is a creation of a 5' 2" gal who installed her own cabinets, added the gold leaf, made her own concrete counter tops, tiled her walls, installed her own wood floor, and that is just for starters. This project was a total makeover and she did almost the whole thing... all. by. herself.
There are so many great features here... but nothing compares to Kristi's green kitchen.. it's extraordinary!! (And I'm not even a fan of green.)
I so agree!!!
Me too!!!
I agree too i was not sure about the green cabinets until i seen them painted and finish and love the color. I have been following her work and i think her work is amazing.
Have loved following #6 throughout the remodel and so very much impressed with the work, explanations, and results
What a huge honor! THANK YOU THANK YOU for including my kitchen makeover in your top 10! So exciting, these projects are all amazing!
Beautiful kitchen!
love the beautiful kitchen & all her work!
Love the Green Kitchen and all of the hard work that was put into that project.
Followed this huge renovation from start to finish!!! Absolutely amazing, beautiful, functional and incredibly creative
Well done!!!! My vote goes here!!
Wow!
Can all the nominees come to my house and work their magic? LOL
Amazing project for a non professional tradesman to undertake.
Watched the change from the ground up. Good job!
As so many others I followed Kristi from beginning to end of her kitchen make over. She is one awesome lady. If she does something wrong she'll tell you about it and show you how she fixed it. She took shock cabinets and turned them into the beautiful cabinets you now see. She is had opened the eyes of many women to see they can do the project them selves. I believe she deserves this prize for all the long hard hours she put into this beautiful green kitchen. Kristi you rock.
I vote for Kristi's Green Kitchen because it's TOTALLY DIY, smart, fascinating and gorgeous project! Definitely number ONE
I saw this on her blog and was beyond amazed that this woman not only designed a beautiful kitchen but executed the whole thing. Talk about DIY! Impressive!
wow...they are all amazing
Love all the projects
All these projects are great, but Kristi from addicted 2 decorating knocked it out of the park! Her kitchen makeover is spectacular!
Congrats to everyone for their projects!
love number 6...it is my favorite
When I clicked on the link for #1 (the shared boys' room makeover), it routed me to a 404 error code on this website. So I did a little research, and here is the correct link. http://viewfromthefridge.com/shared-boys-room-makeover-orc-reveal/ This is a really do-able makeover for even an all-thumbs diy-er like me, and does not involve a huge amount of carpentry. While I am impressed (favorably, I might add) with the other candidates, some of them require such skills that I could only admire, I couldn't DO.
All are very nice...but we do have to pick one!
I watched this remodel from start to finish and it is amazing. A kitchen I would like to have.
awesome diyer
Oh my goodness! Competition is FIERCE. I am so honored my project is amongst competition with these ones. Thank you! And best of luck to everyone!
#2 leather pendant is a beautiful design love it !!!!
They are all great but my favorite is #6, Kristi's Green Kitchen
Kristy is truly amazing! She did kitchen remodel almost entirely herself. Installed the cabinets and flooring, and cement countertops! This lady needs her own television show! I talk about her blog all the time, and have begun trying her step by step projects. She truly inspires me that I can DIY projects I would otherwise not have even attempted. Thanks Kristy!!!
Awesome kitchen! Great job!
Leather pendant
Wow, thank you so much for picking my deck. I'm honored to make the top 10.
I love that kitchen on Addicted to Decorating! She's one of the only DIY bloggers who does 99% of her own work & she does most of it by herself! She's a force of nature!
This deck is awesome!
