    Styled X3 {Geometric Push Pins}

    By Stacy 8 Comments

    I am worn out. You know those weeks when everything happens all at once? The dog gets sick, the littlest gets stung on the face and it swells up for 5 days, other kids gets an ear infection, you have company over, your A/C quits the week there is record breaking heat while before mentioned company is here, and, and, and... Good news though! I ate a mint Utah Truffle bar and it is time for another Styled X3! It is enough to sustain me through the rest of the week :)

    Like always, I bought three of the same thing and sent two of them to some amazing blogging friends. The three of us were challenged to use them in our homes.

    This week we have two very talented ladies joining us. Shonee from Hawthorne and Main and Jackie from Teal and Lime. Awesome, right?! You are going to love what they have done with their item I sent them.

    This month I chose these geometric push pins.

    I currently don't have a message board so I decided to do something else with my pins. I sprayed painted them white and made some art!

    Quick tip: When spray painting knobs (or in this case push pins) stick them in cardboard, Styrofoam, or something similar so you can spray the whole thing at once and so they don't move around due to the force of the spray.

    When I was deciding what type of board to put them on, I decided I liked the idea of the glossy white geometric shape against some rustic barn wood. I had some scraps left over from doing my shelves and they were perfect. The pins just pushed right into the wood. If they were crooked, it was super easy to just pull it out and fix it.

    I had taken own the frame with my kids' picture in it to update the photo so there was a bare spot on the wall. I haven't decided where to put this "R" yet so I stuck it up there for the photo shoot. I actually really like it there! Hopefully it will look just as good in its real home when I figure that out some day.
