    Pirate Ship Cake

    By Stacy Leave a Comment

I used to have a birthday blog. But then this blog took off and then the domain was stolen of the birthday blog, so I shut it down. I decided to transfer the cakes I made to this blog :)

    The Pirate Ship Cake

To make this cake I used two round cakes. I cut the circles in half and "glued" them together with frosting. I added skewers for more support. I then frosted it and used another skewer (kabob stick) to draw on the cake to make it look like wood boards. If you double click the picture you can see the detail better. I used Oreo straws (like cereal straws) to go around the top. You can also use Pepperidge Farms cookies that are shaped the same but they are more expensive. The cannons on the side are Rolo candies. And the cannon balls are malt balls. I used some of the unwrapped Rolos for gold. The sails are paper with some more skewers.
