    Painter's Prize Pack Giveaway!

    By Stacy 173 Comments

Do you have a painting project you want to tackle now that spring is on the horizon? If you are itching to paint something, or even if you are dreading it, I'm about to make your painting experience BETTER by giving away my two favorite painting tools! Because I am an ambassador for HomeRight, I get to giveaway their amazing tools every month :)

If you have followed along on instagram or my blog then you know I decided to retexture my kitchen and dining area. I got it all done and needed to prime and paint it.

    kitchen wall retextured_edited-2

Because I was going to be using the HomeRight Finish Max  (affiliate link) inside I needed to protect the floors. My favorite thing to use on non-sealed surfaces (tile, laminate, carpet) is the clear stick plastic that comes in rolls. It is meant for protecting carpet for when you have movers come or something like that. I taped the edges with painters tape and then laid down the plastic. It is like I shrink wrapped my floor!  I also did the same thing on the window to protect the glass.

I had to first prime the walls. Because of the joint compound, I used a drywall primer in the HomeRight Paint Stick  (affiliate link).
    .

    paintstick

While the primer was drying on the walls I sprayed the regular primer onto the broom closet, window trim, and baseboards.

    finishmax

I knew the moment I sprayed the trim at my brother's house that when I repainted my house one day, I would use the Finish Max. It has the most baby bum smooth finish EVER.  You can adjust the spray and I like it to come out in a fine mist.

Once everything was primed I painted everything the color "popped corn". I have enjoyed having my front room white more than I ever thought I would. So while it seems stark now, I have hope that once I get the curtains back up and start to decorate, it will be bright and cheery. The green walls were lovely but after almost 8 years I was ready to try something new. After all, it is just paint :)

And now for the giveaway! You can enter to win the PaintStick AND the Finish Max paint sprayer!

There are so many things that need painting in my house. I would first start with painting all of my doors. Over the years, they have gotten really yellow. I'm thinking about painting them black this time. Thanks so much for a chance to win such a great prize!

Oh this is FABULOUS! Loving your WHITE!! My next project is our first paint project for this new house- an accent wall for my office. It's going to be dramatic. Then it's on to ceilings & baseboards. Our lovely builder painted walls, baseboards & ceilings all the same color. When we asked about getting it how it's "normally" done they said they didn't do that. Then later we see all our neighbors with how it should be. I see lots of paining in my future.

The next thing I'll paint are 2 window shutters. One shutter has 50 panels, the other 24. All panels will be painted a different color. The 50 panels on one shutter I will paint every color from the Heirloom Tradition Paint line. On the other shutter each panel will be painted with 20 colors from the DIY Paint line; leaving 4 panels unpainted for the 4 new colors that have not come out yet.
It's a lot of tedious details; but the end result will be unique.
My personal projects are normally furniture and I'm buying a china cabinet on Tuesday...It would be so much easier if I had this spray gun to knock it.
      Good luck everyone. :)

Six months ago I started painting my wrought iron fence in the front with a roller. After 3 hours I gave up what a hassle it was. I vowed not to paint it until I bought a Homeright sprayer.

I want the paint sprayer so bad! We're looking at a master closet remodel - possibly building from scratch - and painting all that trim would be such a breeze with the sprayer. And the paint stick would have come in handy 2 weekends ago, when I painted our foyer, but I will use it on our master bathroom in a heartbeat.
