I am taking a tiny break from Home Depot Week to give you an update on my office. I have been held up because I am waiting for the paint that I ordered. But I have plenty of other projects I can finish while I wait. I am building 2 cabinets, a bench (of sorts) and 6 shelves. There will be tons of smaller projects as well. The rain we have had for the past week has really slowed things down since I don't have an indoor workshop. But I hope to have tutorials to post this next week. Pray that my paint gets here before I go crazy with a case of impatient-itis.
I posted awhile back my color scheme. But I have changed it. Instead of red, gold, green, and blue, I have decided to just do shades of BLUE. I am not a knick knacky person but this room will have plenty and I worried that the abundance of colors would make the room too busy. I am beyond thrilled with how the room looks in my sketches and hope I can pull it off. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I love that color scheme; it's pretty much what we have going on in our master and living rooms. It would look really pretty with white accessories! I'm excited to see how it turns out. : )
I look fwd to seeing the makeover! My office is on my makeover list. I am excited to see what you do, because I have no idea what Im doing! The colors are so pretty but to be honest I would be terrified to work with them:) I know you will inspire me away from my white world:)
Thats one of the things I hate about ordering something...the wait. I am soo impatient. I can't wait to see the new room.

I'm sure the makeover end result will be beautiful...just like all of your other creations. : )
I'm not much of a knick knack person my self but I find my space overflowing with papers, pictures, mittens, scarves, jackets, coats, just stuff and its everywhere. So, the question I'm asking is how do you tame the normal household stuff? In your pictures everything looks so tidy. Where is the stuff? Do you have a basement? Do you store stuff? I syour attic jam packed with the seasonal things of life?
Pretty color scheme. I wish we weren't renting! I am dying to paint a wall!!
HI Stacy! Be patient... here's raining too and it's difficult for a wooden table I spray-painted to dry, it's been 2 days and it is not dry yet... anyways, I think your color scheme looks great for your office! I want my guest room to be orange-themed, but still want to use some contrast colors (like red, blue or green) in very small objects, so it can be a peaceful place too... right now, I only have painted a little table we had (it's in my blog). But my next big makeover project will be to PAINT the chairs we have (they are green now) instead of reupholster them. Let's see how that goes!
Can't wait to see your office!!
