    New Series Coming Soon!

    By Stacy 10 Comments

I have shocked myself by going and getting all (ok a tiny bit) organized! I actually have a blog calendar for the next 3 months planned out. Now sticking to the plan is a whole other ball game. But for now I will look at my newly filled out calendar and pat myself on the back. I have planned a few new series and an old one will get an update.

The plan is to post a new weekly series every Wednesday. Here they are!!!

    new series

The first Wednesday of the month will be a new and improved version of "He Said She Said". I got a new camera with video capabilities (no more crappy old iphone!) and I ordered a new microphone so hopefully the sound and picture quality will be better. Instead of random topics, Shane & I will be discussing things that are relevant to what is happening on the blog and in our house (design and DIY wise).

The second Wednesday will be a fun new series called Styled X3 where I buy 3 of the same item and send two of them to two other bloggers. We all have to use the item somewhere in our homes and then show how we styled it. I am SO EXCITED! It will be a fun way to not only show you different ways to style the same thing, but also a way to introduce you to some of my favorite bloggers.

The plan last year was to have Shane write a monthly post. Yeah..... we slacked on that one. In our defense he was crazy busy at his day job and we were still adjusting to his ONE HOUR each way commute. But we finally feel like we can buckle down and make this happen. So he will be chatting about how to bring more architectural interest to your home and design trends he sees through his job. He is lucky enough to work at an amazing design firm that does both architecture and interior design. So his Design Chat series should rock! No pressure hon.....

And then on the last wednesday of the month, I will share things that I am loving at that moment. It could be anything from a design trend to a product  to a new website/blog. I can't wait to share What I'm Crushing On This Month!

Mondays will be devoted to project tutorials, reveals, and updates on bigger projects. The first Tuesday of the month will still be the linky party. The other Tuesdays I will be doing giveaways (because giving stuff away makes me feel like Oprah).

Fridays are for recipes and updates on our journey to being more healthy. Dude, our 30's are kicking our trash! Shane and I are getting more serious about this whole weight/health thing.

The other days will fill in with other things as they come along. I have to give myself some freedom if I expect to stick to any kind of schedule here. This fly-by-the-seat-of-her (painted on)-pants girl is going to get her stuff together...one step at a time!

Awesome! I'm not great at keeping to an editorial calendar for my blog, but you've inspired me to try a bit harder:)

Setting a schedule and keeping one are two totally different beasts. We will see how it goes for me!

I considered it but writing a book kind of kicked my trash and I kind of just want to stay at home and DIY :) Are you going to SNAP?

I can't wait to see the new series! I wouldn't be able to blog without planning my calendar out pretty far in advance-it's the only way I get anything done around here!
