    My Interview with Barbara Corcoran

    By Stacy 21 Comments

I know most of you know I write for Homes.com's blog. I adore them as a company and I am excited for them and their latest partnership. If you follow them on social media at all then you know their latest BIG news. Barbara Corcoran is their new spokesperson! Barbara is a real estate mogul who started her own business with only $1,000. She is the author of several books and is currently staring on ABC's hit show Shark Tank. I remember the first time I saw her on TV. It was on the Nate Berkus show. She was a regular and along with being extremely smart, I thought she was so spunky! She also contributes to the Today Show, CNBC, and many other TV shows, newspapers, and radio shows.

I think she is the perfect fit to be partnering with Homes.com!

I was asked to interview her and because of a scheduling conflict (on my part) we ended up doing it through email and then she answered them on this video for me.

Barbara answers the question "What are the top things you can do to make your home sell more easily?" and "What should you look for when buying a home?".  I was surprised by her answers but they are genius! She also tells us her secret to success. It may surprise you.

It is a quick and insightful clip and totally worth your time :) Enjoy!!!

I LOVE this! And I love that she didn't say "paint all the walls a neutral color." :):):)

Absolutely! As a REALTOR also, I completely agree with her simple yet pertinent tips! Open all your blinds and turn on EVERY (yes, I said every) light when showing your house! Great info!

      Love Barbara! :)

      I follow her on twitter!

Great tips--love the "visit a neighborhood at a different time of day". Not buying or selling, but I'll give that advice to anyone I know who is!

I love her. I enjoy the segments she does on the Today Show... it's fascinating to see the different home prices in different parts of the country. Great tips, too!

Good advice. Glad our house has lots of light in it already. :^) Of course you can't guarantee that rotten neighbors won't move in later, but if you pick a decent neighborhood there's less chance of that, hopefully.
