We don’t have salvage yards or flea markets where I live. I am always jealous of those of you who have that opportunity. I have to rely on garage sales and family that wants to get rid of “junk”. My mom lives near and has a big barn where she stores a lot of things. She wanted us to come haul some things to the dump. I found a few treasures and I got to keep them. Check out this beautiful ladies desk!!! I am getting ready to refinish it and I am so giddy with excitement :) I thought the drawers were missing at first so I planned on finding baskets to go in the holes. But I did some more digging and . . .
I found them! I will takes pictures of the process and post them soon.
I found several things to bring home but I left this barrel because I don’t know what to do with it. But I love it. I love the yellow and the rust. I love that is is small. So I am going to ask you “What would you do with it?” Side table in a fun rustic family room? Cut the top off and use it as a planter? Hmmm. . .
Oh yeah, I got my computer back!!! It still has some glitches which make me a little nervous but I am not taking it back just yet. I have too many things to do. Maybe Santa will be nice to me this year:)

great finds!! The barrel would make a great 'beverage tub'…cut off the top and fill with ice & drop in some drinks.
You could also turn it on it's side (if it's big enough)..and make a coffee table out of it. You'd have to balance/anchor it, of course.
Moms are great aren't they? Mine is a big supplier of stuff for me! LOL! Great find! The barrel…I think it would make a great side table!
Very cool!
Stacy… thanks so much for your sweet comment on my photo ladder…I think the wood circles may be out (consensus) … but your right… maybe another project in the making?!
Have a great weekend!
