Let's chat about cork, shall we? I will admit I never gave it a ton of thought until last year when I came across this first image. All of a sudden I started to think of cork in a new way. I started to look for other fun ways it was being used. And that my friends, is how today's post was born :)

It not only adds character and texture to the space, but it is so dang functional! I had a giant cork board in my room as a teenager (as in 5 feet by 6 feet) and I LOVED it. Not only was it fun to pin pictures of me and my friends, but I could post quotes or even reminder notes.

Here is another office space with a large cork wall. First of all, I just have to say I could write a love song about this space. That log light? Shut the front door! The log is carved out so a light fixture and shine though. But I digress.....the cork. How utterly convenient and trendy!

The first thing I thought of when I was thinking of making a cork project was covering cans with thin cork to make office supply organizers that doubled as places to pin notes. Aren't these so adorable?

The second thing I thought of was to make a planter. Are you surprised it was not the first idea? Me too :) I am slightly obsessed with this hanging one!

My talented friend Brittany redid her kitchen floors and created a chevron pattern with cork flooring. AMAZING!

You guys, someone please DIY a cork light. It can't be too hard, right? A roll of cork from an office supply store, spray adhesive, and a drum shade. Gorgeous!!!

Cork is becoming so popular that brands are even making furniture out of it. Check out these cook bar stools! I bet they would feel soft on your rump.

I wonder how well it would hold up as a table top. What do you think?

I came across this notebook at Michael's Craft a couple of years ago and I wish I would have bought more. I love it! I use it to take notes at conferences, doodle, or make lists.

So what do you think of cork? What are other creative uses you have heard of or seen?
