    Crushing On: Chrome

    By Stacy 6 Comments

I remember when we bought this house and I was deciding on what finishes to add to the kitchen and bathroom and I wanted anything BUT chrome. It was all about the brushed nickel back then and bronze. While I still like those finishes, I have turned a corner and now fully embrace chrome. Here are some of my favorite ways to use this finish in your own home. I'm sure after seeing all these examples you will see why I am crushing on chrome.

Shiny chrome hardware is like jewelry! I love how it looks against white cabinetry.

I think those lights make the whole space!

A chrome faucet instantly elevates the whole space!

I love mixed metals. I especially love gold and chrome together.

I grew up with a bathroom sink in our home that had exposed pipes and so I have a soft spot for them. How fabulous are these?

This chrome mirror is everything. The whole space is fantastic but the mirrors are what have me sold.

When choosing the faucet for my recent bathroom renovation, I fell in love with this chrome beauty and knew I had to have it.

I already had a chrome faucet in the down bathroom. This sweet little retro one pairs nicely with the pedestal sink.

One thing that might not the first thing you think of when you hear "chrome" is a bed. I adore how the chandelier hangs down into the frame. So stunning!

I think of all the examples, this bed is my favorite. Sometime when we think of chrome we instantly think "modern" but it can be traditional as well. I wish I had a guest room to put this sweet bed in.

Chrome adds that extra bling to crystal chandeliers. The light reflects beautifully off chrome.

This light is so fun! I am frantically trying to think of a room it could go in my house.

I like how the rustic wood looks with the shiny chrome. I like to mix rustic and modern together. Just picture it with a few plants and a different chair. Maybe a moody dark wall behind it? Yep, I can picture it somewhere in my house for sure :)

Chrome shelves would be perfect for a home office!

If you know me at all, you know I love anything with an X detail. This table is off the charts fabulous!

My first thought when I saw this was that I loved it with all the neutrals. My next thought was "Mabe...." which was quickly followed by the realization that I live with 5 of the male species. But I can stare and drool :)

Like all all things, a nice way to get your feet wet trying out something new is to add in accessories. I love this little clock!

I love how this space is so warm and soft and you might think that the bright finish of the chrome lamp wouldn't work but fits right in!

What is your favorite finish? Do you have any chrome in your house?

Your inspiration pictures are beautiful. I went with polished nickel in the house - not too far off from chrome!

Great pictures! Love to know the name of the manufacturer of the beautiful white/cream sofa?
