On a scale of 1 to 10, my lawn and gardens would be a 5. I have lived in this old farmhouse for three years and continue to revive the existing gardens as well as add more.
My yard is, unfortunately, a 1. It needs a lot of work and the Texas sun and heat does not help!
our yard is pretty bad, probably a 7, though it is actually more the flower beds than grass. we desperately need to mulch but have had a few major home repairs in the past month (new a/c units $$$) so haven't had the extra cash to get the mulch we need. we would love to pull some bushes out but don't know what to replace them with because they help block our front door from the street. we would like to use native florida plants good for drought conditions since we always have those. but we don't know where to start.
I would love to be given some ideas to take my yard to the next level ;) Thank you for the opportunity!!!
I love yardwork. Id give my yard a 2. Could use a few good ideas.
That book sounds wonderful and I could use all the help I can get. Thanks!
I would rate mine at a 5ish. It's kind of bland.
We love gardening so I'd give mine a 7. It still needs some lovin' but it's purteeeeeee especially in the spring and summer time.
Mine's a 6, definitely a work in progress.
My front needs dire help! It's about a 9 RIGHT NOW! Please help! :-)
I don't think a zero rating is low enough to describe my yard!
Yard needs another focus it's about a three. Would love to read/win the book! Thanks for the opportunity
I designed my yard years ago when our trees were twigs. Now they are huge shade trees and my gardens aren't doing so well without all the sun we used to have. On a scale of 1-10, my previous 8 is now a 5. I need some great new ideas!
My yard is a nine after a lot of work, but there is always something to change. This book sounds great!!!
Overall, I think our yard is an 8. My hubby does a great job keeping up with the grass and trees in the "front" yard. We have a little closed off area outside our kitchen and it's more like a 3. An old greenhouse is falling down and there are lots of yucky white landscaping rock that needs to be removed but we just haven't had time to start and finish!
I'd love to say that my backyard is a 10 but NO :( I try and do my best so I'll happily give it a 7. I'm always working on trying to make it look better and heartier.
What a beautiful book!
Each summer I try to add a little more to my yard; it is always a work in progress. I think gardening is a bit like raising children. Sometimes you think some idea is going to be great, and it turns out to be a total flop. Then other times, you can be completely surprised by something fabulous that you never dreamed would come to fruition! I plant many perennials and every spring look forward to the little surprises.
I think our yard is at least a 7. We did plant some rhododendrons this year....
Our backyard needs a total make over - it would be great to have her book for new ideas!
My yard would probably rate "7"
We are waiting for an estimate to get a patio done and will need some landscaping done!
She does have some great ideas. Thanks for the opportunity to enter. My yard needs help., maybe a 2.
My yard is probably a six. We have some beautiful plants but need more organization and some borders to keep grass out of the flower beds, and better sprinkler coverage.
My yard is a 3. I need help...lol
On a scale of 1-10, our yard is about a 4. We've done tons of work on it the last few years, but there is always more to do.
We have a very small back yard and it drops off into a canyon. I would give it a 2+.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm going with about a 7. Right now my shrubs need a good trimming and I think I really need to add more flowering plants. We have a lot of green but no real color in our yard.
My yard is probably a 4. Rather boring right now and definitely in need of some work.
Well I do have grass a tree and some spring time flowers, but it could definitely use so help, so 3.
A Big Fat 10!!! It is so bad! We just recently moved into this house and there is nothing in the backyard except tons of weeds that we have to mow! It is pitiful!
My yard is a 10 on how badly it needs attention! It's really more like a 20
my yard is pretty darn good so I think it's about a 4. I still have finishing touches I def need to do!
3, have nice gardens but need seating to enjoy it!
Would love to try some of these ideas. My yard needs a lot of work.
I give my yard a 6. It has some great plants and lots of potential but needs to be yanked out of the 80s a bit.
Since I can't say 15 then I will have to say 10. We've spent a lot of money over the past year updating the house interior and exterior but the yard is a disgrace! I need some ideas.
I want it!
My yard is probably a 4. Good structure, beautiful in the spring, but struggling right now. I need ideas for summer color and fun places for kids to play.
My yard needs therapy! It is a 4!

On a scale of 1-10 my yard is a 2 and the reason I gave it a 2 is because it makes me happy to see the kids play on it!
I would say our yard is a 10, my yard is the worst. My hubby get ideas from youtube and he just experiment...We need a REAL guide.HELP. lol
