Last week Rhoda featured me on her blog, Southern Hospitality, as part of a tour of blogland blog hop. I am not sure who started it and how long it will last. But the thought of featuring 3 of my favorite bloggers and sharing some things about me sounded fun so I thought I would play along.
1. What am I working on?
What am I not working on is the better question. I am writing a book, I am finishing a makeover on my front room, and I am working on several other projects outside before it turns too cold. And a few inside ones.... I need a clone :) My family room is almost ready to share. I painted the walls white and added a new gallery wall above the couch.
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
Man, this is a tough one. I think there are so many talented Home Decor bloggers out there. I guess I just blog about what I want, when I want. I blog about how we make our tiny home work for our not so tiny family. I blog about how we are overcoming our design challenges. Because old homes have plenty! I blog about how we have a small budget but make it work. And in everything I do there is always nature incorporated somehow. I love to bring the outdoors in :)
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
Because it is who I am. I have been DIYing since I was a child and I don't think I would know what to do if I didn't have a t least a couple of projects going on. I write about it because I am a stay at home mom and it is a way to connect with other people. Big people. People who talk in complete sentences and don't tell fart jokes. I also write about it with the hope that something I do will inspire someone else to get creative, to pick up a power tool, and to step outside their comfort zone.
4. How does your writing/creative process work?
HA! Ummm, it doesn't. I am kind of a mess. I scramble to get a project done and then stay up all night writing about it and editing pictures. I always have at least 4 projects going on at the same time in various stages of completion. And I am always dreaming about the next one before ever getting the first four done. I don't have a set schedule when I post and I rarely if ever have posts done ahead of time and scheduled. I tend to be a fly by the seat of my pants kind of person. I have been known to stop mid project and take my family up the canyon because I just needed the extra inspiration. It is my favorite "thinking spot".
Now I get to share 3 bloggers with you. They are each sharing their favorite project with you today.

I can totally relate to the not being done with the first 4 before starting/planning for the next. I am always in a million different places. I always thought I needed to work on this, but I have come to accept it is just who I am, and I work better that way! What a fun little series! : )
Thank you so so much for the feature. You are the sweetest thing ever! I loved reading more about your blogging style and background, so fun. :)
That sounds so familiar! I appreciate that I'm not the only crazy soul. See you soon!
Thank you so much for including me in your feature Stacy!! I appreciate it so much!! I hear you on the staying up all night to write the post and edit photos... and the 4 (or 25) projects that are in the works at all times. :)
