I was gone three out of the four weeks of July. They were all in a row too which really was hard on this homebody. It was hard to keep up the blog and projects too. The good news is that all the stuff I was working on behind the scenes in July will show up on the blog this month along with the things I am doing right now. LOTS to look forward to in August!
The second week of July I was gone to a church youth camp (girl’s camp). The third week I was gone I was in Atlanta for the DIY blog conference called Haven. It was great being around so many like minded people and hanging out with brands like Home Depot and Ryobi.
This last week was spent in Yellowstone National Park with Shane’s family. He grew up going to Yellowstone every summer and we spent some of our honeymoon there so it is special place to our family.
It was nice to forget about the stresses we left behind at home for a bit. Here are some (cell phone) shots from our time there.
Fishing at Gull Point
Row boats are super cheap to rent!
We camped for three night and then stayed in a cabin for a couple more nights.
I count 7 different types of flowers in our campground. It was so pretty I didn’t even mind it rained on us a couple of times.
This is a bit fuzzy since it was a hurried photo. He walked right by our van!
Mammoth was a fun place to visit. It is at the top of Yellowstone National Park.
My kids had a blast, I promise. They just didn’t love having to stare into the sun for pictures ;)
How cool/creepy is this? It looks like a movie set or something!
We looked at our honeymoon pictures when we got home and we definitely don’t look as young now, 17 years later.
It was a fun diversion, but it is back to reality with deadlines, bills, laundry, and getting the kids ready for school starting soon. I’ll be back soon with some projects and even a gorgeous room reveal! Have a great weekend :)
Have you ever been to Yellowstone?
