After years of renting while my husband went to school, I swore that I wouldn’t have white walls when I was able to buy a house and do what ever I wanted. I lied. A little. You can’t see my big accent wall that is painted green. But the other three walls are white. BRIGHT white. And I love it. It is so relaxing and airy. So I had my accent wall, my bedding , my side table, and a shelf that were green. But I had one side of my room that was void of anything green. I still had paint left from my accent wall so I decided to paint a square with a band around it and then hang our monogram on it.
I bought a cheap white frame. I don’t have a fancy cricket or silhouette machine and I was too impatient to order an “R” off line so I drew one on card stock paper and used an X-acto knife to cut it out. I used double sided tape to adhere it to the glass. One day I might change it for the real deal, but you can’t tell the difference and I like it.
Oh how I love the power paint has to transform a space! Here are the other pictures of my room.
This side table (an old cupboard) got painted and antiqued.
These frames all got painted white. And this is part of my green wall :)
I painted this pillow.
I painted the shadow box above my bed.
And I spray painted this antique bridge lamp to change it from cream to white.
