Can we have a little moment of silence for 2015? I have been trying to think of a word that describes last year and I struggled to call it the "best" year ever but it was also far from the worst. I settled on the word "stable". We have had some roller coaster years the past 5 years and 2015 was less of a ride, shall we say. I guess in a way, that does make it the best. The best in awhile at least :)
I had so much fun with the Styled X3 series I am continuing it again this year. I think it has become a favorite of yours as well since it is the most clicked post each month.
If you are new, this is a series where I buy three of the same item, keep one, and send the others to two bloggers. All three of us have to use the item somewhere in our homes. Altering the item is optional but not necessary. It is fun to see how three different people each style the same item!
This month the talented Erin from DIY On The Cheap and amazing (and funny) Laura from Finding Home Farms are playing along.
This month I picked this set of 3 metal tins. They are the same size as a quart jar and were less than $10 for the set.
Since I recently added open shelves to my kitchen and have been adding things to them like my cute new spice jars, my mind went immediately to baking supplies.
I used my Silhouette Machine to cut some vinyl lettering out and added it to the tins. I used a funnel to fill them up and there you go! Organized and pretty.
Since these shelves are right next to my oven and stove, it makes sense to have my baking supplies and spices. The metal caddy on the top right holds all my gravy packets, bullion, and seasoning packets that don't go in the spice jars. I also love having my mixing bowls handy. They used to be in the back of my lazy susan and it made me want to swear trying to pull them out.
I think I am going to order some more for cocoa powder and coconut and things like that. They stack well so I think that will work :)
Make sure to go and see what Erin from DIY On The Cheap and Laura from Finding Home Farms did with there metal tins!
