I think Valentine's Day and Easter tie for my favorite holiday. Which is kind of funny because I am not a huge fan of pink. Maybe it has to do with the chocolate involved ;) I just barely took my Christmas decorations down on a couple of days ago (February 1st to be exact) and immediately put up my Valentine's Day mantel.
I bought white and yellow tulips but as I was putting it all together, it just didn't read "Valentine's" to me. It needed pink in order to work. I thought I wouldn't fall in love with it but I DID!
I started out with a whole saying on the chalkboard and a bunch of hearts. But it seemed too busy. So I figured, all you need it LOVE.
If you want to see how I made the tree stump with the moss initials, head over here. It is kind of my favorite thing on the mantel.
If you follow me on instagram then you saw my post with the plethora of house plants I bough the other day. I need them to get through winter and you can never have too much greenery in my opinion.
I wish I would have got it decorated early so I had more than a couple of weeks to enjoy it.

This is close to my heart - since I think in terms of songs for some strange reason ( most of my posts have a song incorporated into them lol )
