Things are getting steamy! {Steam Cleaner Giveaway}

The winner is Lisa W. !!!

So I was originally going to share a project I am working on for my laundry room for my HomeRight post this month but when I saw what other bloggers were saying about their new Steam Mop Plus machines I was just too ansty to try it out. And I am so in love with it that I decided to do this post first.

I have tried a lot of steam machines and steam mops over the years and there are two main reasons why this one blew my mind. The first one is that it is a steam mop AND a hand held, all in one.

Are you in love yet? Because seriously that would be enough for me.

And before I get to the second big reason this is the best steam machine, let’s check out the attachments for the hand held steamer.

*Squeegee for windows, mirrors, showers, counter tops, and other flat surfaces

*Grout Brush for tile grout, along baseboards, or window sills

*Scraper for scraping baked on food, grease, or stick residue from stove tops, ovens, and floors

*Angled Nozzle for tight places and hard to reach spots

*Nylon brushes microwave, oven, stove, refrigerator, faucets, tile, and tons more!

*Bonnet for steaming garments and fabric

The first thing I did with my machine was steam my curtains. I recently washed all my curtains as part of my spring cleaning routine. They were wrinkly. I hung them up anyway as part of my “I don’t iron anything” routine. I pretended it didn’t bother me because if it bothered me that would mean I would then have to take them down and actually iron them. The steam machine worked like a charm! And it was fast.

I didn’t stop there. I figured it could also steam and sanitize my throw pillows. I use to wash my throw pillows weekly but it caused my pillows to die a quick and faded death. I have tried to wash them less often to keep them looking good but I also live with 5 boys so I worry they are harboring an army of germs. All my pillows are cotton. If you have pillows made of delicate fabrics you may want to read on the website to see if you can steam them.

Alright, the second big reason I love this machine is the carpet glider. “The what?” you say? Let me introduce you to the carpet glider….

steam mop plus pads

You guys! You can steam your carpet! You attach a regular microfiber pad and then clip on the carpet glider attachment over that. I only get our carpets cleaned once or twice a year. What an AWESOME way to sanitize them in between cleanings!

The only thing that could make this steam machine better is if there were more than two pads. I am going to see if I can order more because I stink at getting laundry done and because I live with 5 boys who track dirt in like nobody’s business. I would need a pad for every room in the house and then a second set to use while the other set sat in the laundry being ignored. But that is me. I have laundry issues.

So in my humble, OCD, mother of 4 boys, germaphobic, opinion HomeRight pretty much nailed it.

nailed it

And guess what folks? YOU get a chance to win one of these bad boys for yourself.

  1. Chelle says

Floor where my 2 yr. old granddaughter plays the most, living room, quickly followed by all the other floors, our curtains, and sofas, chairs, throw pillows. Love this one!

  2. Beth says

My whole house is hardwood, with tile in the bathrooms and kitchen. I’d start right by the front door and work my way to the back – it all needs to be done!

  3. Felicia Mathis says

I use to have a Shark steam cleaner but it broke and I didn’t feel like investing in another steamer to just have it break again but this one seems so nice. I do miss how clean my kitchen floors would get without harsh chemicals.

  4. Meg Merkley says

Definitely my bathroom floors. Having 5 boys in the house they don’t stay clean very long! Thanks for the opportunity! What a fun toy.

  5. Kendra says

We have an old steam cleaner and I HATE IT. I would LOOOOOVE to upgrade to this. Then maybe I would do the floors instead of making the hubby do it :-)

  6. says

I would use the handheld unit to try to clean some stubborn problem areas in our shower. This machine looks awesome. Love the new blog design, too, by the way!

  7. ashley says

those wrinkly curtains!! (that are likely covered in all sorts of germs considering the toddler likes to hide behind them, pull on them, wipe his nose on them….yuck!)

  8. Julie says

Oooooh, spring cleaning! I would tackle the wood floors in our 1927 house. After they are sparkling clean, I will enforce the no shoes rule.

  9. Melanie S. says

Oh I would love this so much! I have two toddlers so things need to be cleaned often and fast! I would work on the dining room first.

  10. Cath T says

I’d start with the kitchen floor–unfortunately a textured tile that does a great job of harboring dirt in all it’s little nooks and crannies. But you’ve given me great ideas for other jobs I hadn’t thought of. Spring Cleaning?? We’re still dealing with snow. Is it Spring Cleaning time already? Yikes! Have to get cracking. (knees crack)

  11. Deb Harris says

I would love this for doing my floors, my bathtub & tile & to be able to do carpet too is just too much! Everything I want to make cleaning easier since I don’t think a maid is in my future!

  12. Karen says

I’d probably clean the bathroom floors, then the kitchen floors, then the entry hall, and then I’d take an extension cord out to my car and steam clean the upholstery! I’d seriously go to town with that baby! haha

  13. Alisha Hodges says

My floors! I have an 18 month old and she leaves smudgy marks all over the place and food everywhere. Also, I feel like my floors are never clean even though I clean them at least once a day. My regular cleaning routine doesn’t do a good job. I mop and it just leaves streaks everywhere no matter what I do and it’s very visible on my floors, especially when I have the curtains open.

  14. says

I would clean our floors. We live in the country and have two dogs and a cat. We have a dirt driveway so we get SO MUCH DIRT AND MUD on our floors! We can’t keep up with the dirt and it drives us crazy.

  15. says

I would try steaming a small upholstered chair that I have been thinking of getting rid of. Maybe a good steam might just bring it back to life.

  16. Lisa Cox says

I would use it on my couch first. It sounds so much easier than pulling the covers off those oversized cushions and washing them, then trying to get them back on when they are dry.

  17. Janet says

The handheld with the scrub brush would clean my refrigerator (a least favorite job) so easily. Not to mention the faucets, all the other surfaces in the kitchen

  18. Janice says

I would give our kitchen cabinets from the 70’s one more chance at being clean before ripping them out! They are in decent shape but they have that nasty sticky film on them and I’ve tried everything and nothing has worked! I heard steam would help.

  19. Jonelle L says

What wouldn’t I clean? I would probably start in the bathroom (which is an older 1950: fully tiled from floor to ceiling) and work my way around the house.

  20. sondra thurman says

My yes I need this terribly as I have 6 children so ya know I have lots to clean, I need any tool that makes my everyday tasks easier and quicker to accomplish so I have more time for the family fun times making memories, I would even use it at my best friends house

  21. says

Oh gosh – I need to try this! I have the original SteamMachine but I love the look of this one and the Steam Mop action. My kitchen floors need to be steam mopped a lot and this one looks more convenient than the other style.

  22. rebecca says

My steam cleaner broke last year and I have not replaced it. Would have to clean the floors first. Great give away!

  23. Kelli says

I would clean my master bathroom- it is in desperate need of a steam cleaning! I have been looking at products like like and wondering if they work!

  24. Courtney Tarbet says

I need one of these to clean EVERYTHING!!! Shower grout, carpets, floors… This is about the coolest steamer I’ve ever seen and I’ve had a couple of different ones.

  25. Emily says

I would clean the stairs, probably. There’s no easy way to get them clean and a vacuum is nearly impossible. I would want to see how this works!

  26. Jennifer S says

First thing I would clean with this is all of my curtains. Like yours, they are wrinkly and I do not iron!

  27. Elizabeth H says

I would start with the kitchen floor and love the fact that I could steam my pillows. Thanks for the opportunity to enter.

  28. Jill says

I’d say my windows, we live in a sort-of basement apartment, the windows get sprayed regularly by rain, sprinklers, etc. They’re a little scuzzy; and overwhelming.

  29. Ashley C says

My entire house is linoleum and hardwood, I’d clean my floors first :)

  30. Amanda W says

My Floors! Oh how I would clean the floors then …..
My Shower! Oh how I would clean my shower…then…

  31. Eustacia Miliusis says

I would use this on the outside walls of my oven when I pull it out from the counters. It gets pretty yucky at times!

  32. Trish Bruening says

I would love to use this on my kitchen and bathroom floors! So many possibilities! I love it! Thanks!

  33. Kendra says

My kitchen floor! I WOULD SO LOVE TO WIN THIS GIVEAWAY! Does writing in all caps give me a better chance, like wrinkling up your paper when you enter giveaways at places?? Ha!

  34. saminder gumer says

i would clean the wood floors in the living room and kitchen. they are hard to clean and need a good scrubbing.
