Now the first thing I ran to was my toilet. With 5 guys in the house and one toilet it is, ummmm, for lack of a better word…GROSS! And I didn’t think y’all wanted to see pictures of that. So I decided to take pictures of my oven. Dirty as all get out but with less of a gross factor.

Grease and stuff. The usual oven grime.

Make sure you read all of the instruction manual. As in get cozy,  eat a treat, and read it ALL. You want to be safe first and foremost!

I added enough water to have the steamer go for 15 minutes. There is a handy dandy chart that tells you how much water to add based on how long you will clean. I had seen the power of the steamer in action and I was pretty confident it could clean the oven door in 15 minutes or less. It took about ten. I used the metal brush attachment. And voila!

This may be boring, but I’d definitely clean my floors first! I have a 3 year old, and a 10 month old who is crawling around! I would love to clean the floors without worrying about them picking up chemicals while they’re playing! Thanks for the opportunity! :)

My daughter and her fiance just purchased a used mobile home and a Homeright steamer sure would make our job of cleaning it a whole lit easier. I think the first thing we would clean would be the oven then shower then garden tub then corners ir the flooring…i could go on and on listing the possibilities ! Thanks so much for the chance to win…fingers and toes crossed we get picked!

I would definitely clean the floors int he house. Some good hot steam is definitely what’s needed to get those babies clean!

  11. Kelie says

Honestly, I’d probably just start in one corner and work around the whole house. It’s not that bad, but I can’t seem to rid us of the dust & grime of the previous tenants…

  12. says

I would try it on the shower door that I haven’t been able to get clean any other way. If that can’t get it clean, nothing can!

  13. Sheila says

Ok, I can’t figure out how to pin this… I am not great on the sites but would love to share it if someone can help me? Thanks!

I have never used one but can think of 100 things in my house to use it on. Thanks for the give-a-way!

  19. G says

I sure could use this steamer… I have brick floors and although they are super easy maintenance, they could use a good grout cleaning! Thanks!

After your before and after picture of the over, I’m convinced that’s where I would start.

  25. April Voss says

First thing ~ upstairs children’s bathroom. Then go through each room of the house cleaning away.

I can’t believe how that thing cleaned your oven…amazing! I would be running all over my house with that thing.

  38. Jennifer S says

First thing I would clean is … my dog’s serving dishes. They’re attached to a box that stores the bulk food, so I can’t run them through the dishwasher and I don’t want to use any cleaning chemicals on the dishes for fear they’d get into her food. But, she’s a 200lb, drooling English Mastiff so it gets really gross, really fast.

  39. Holly ouellette says

The first thing I would steam clean is my sofa!! Having a dog sure does make things a little stinky ;)
