Show Me What Ya Got # 34

Wow. Yesterday was Monday. And by Monday I mean Monday. We took the kids to a forever long parade. I am not a huge fan of parades. It was 100 entries too long if you ask me. We survived that and came home to do yard work. While I weeded my hubby emptied the garage so we could reorganize it for like the billionth time. The WHOLE garage got emptied onto our driveway. Holy cow we have a lot of CRAP! And by crap I mean thrift items that have yet to be turned into something awesome. While he was cleaning it out he noticed the deep freezer wasn’t humming. It had gotten unplugged. We had 2 whole turkeys and 40 lbs of chicken breasts in there (among other things)!!! I had to drop everything and cook the thawed chicken and one of the turkeys. The other turkey we gave to a neighbor. Everything else was a goner. As if that wasn’t bad enough, while we were dealing with that it starts to rain. All of our stuff is still sitting in the driveway. So we run out and tried to get it all back in before it was ruined. I was soaked, grumpy, and had a kitchen covered in chicken juice. So after we  got the kids to bed, the kitchen de-germified, and showered, we snuggled up on the couch and watched a movie. With chocolate.

I hope you had a better day yesterday than I did and I hope you all have fabulous things to link up! I can’t wait to see :) I think I will even do a feature post this week. I haven’t had time to create anything myself. I have been playing catch up since I was gone  to EVO then did the 2 TV segments.

You know the drill….

*Max of 2 projects
*Link up new things and not things you have already linked up here before

*Visit some of the other links and leave comments. We all love comments :)
*Spread the word about this linky party by adding my button, linking back, or adding me to your linky party list. I’m not picky. Just put it somewhere

  1. Wow, what an absolutely sucky day! I would be tired and grumpy too after all that! Here’s to a kitchen forever free of turkey and chicken juice.

That tops the Mondays of ALL Mondays. You need an award, but I think you finished that night right with the chocolate and a movie. Hope the movie was as good as the chocolate ;)
I SO related to this post that I almost couldn’t finish reading it. Parades, garage, too much junk. Yeah, you’re in good company!!

  8. Ugh, what a crappy day.

We lost all of our food recently, too, but that was because there was a huge thunderstorm and our power was out for 30 hours. Womp, womp.

I read your FB newsfeed last night.
Sounds like you had a really bad day.
My days usually start getting *that* ugly around Wednesday evening. Then I have what I call “Ugly Thursday”. Every Thursday is Ugly Thursday.

May your week get better and may you have “Pretty Thursday”. :-)

Oh, my, that sounds like my garage. Minus the poor freezer :-( I have so many craft projects and bins full of stuff that one of my shelves collapsed a few weeks ago. I had to haul it all outside, try to clean up magnetic primer from the floor and made an emergency trip to the big orange box store for a new shelf unit. And yet I still go to the thrift store for more!
Thanks for the awesome party, I am off to check out some of the links now.
