I love moss! I really do. I usually have a small tote full of it (it is almost gone after these projects…) You can use it for so many things.
When I think of “spring” I think of nature. . . and moss :) I think every room should have some greenery and since I kill 99% of all houseplants I have ever bought, moss is a nice alternative for me.
I kinda have a thing for frames… And obsession if you will. You put 2 of my loves (moss and frames) together and you get this! This would look great on a book shelf. And with a sweet baby picture in it I could see it in a nature inspired nursery!!!
I usually don't follow trends very much but when I saw the moss letters at Pottery Barn, I fell in love. Then I saw them pop up all over blogland and I almost didn’t make one. I am weird like that. But I am glad I did because I love my R! I was originally going to hang it on my door. . . .
. . . . BUT, I put it on my shelf just to see what it would look like and I think I like it there better. This was just to stage it for Studio 5. I will have to come up with another arrangement since I have 4 kiddos. But I already have an idea…….
You have seen this little moss number a time or two. I LOVE LOVE LOVE topiaries. I can’t get enough of them. I wish I could keep real ones from dying. But a moss one made from a stick and styrofoam balls is a good alternative.

So cute! Donace had a moss V in her house and it was the first time I'd ever seen it. (I'm way out of the loop!) so cute! Can't wait to see part 2.

And this is why I have a bag of moss sitting in my craft closet! I think I like this frame idea even better than the letter craft that I originally got the moss for.

The fact that you have a "tote" for moss makes me like you even more. I wouldn't even begin to know what to use moss on. LOL

I immediately clicked your link from Funky Junk Interiors--I, too, have a love for moss. Your projects are so beautiful! The picture frame is my absolute favorite, especially with that darling baby inside! I did a moss project back a few weeks ago, feel free to check it out here:http://littlethingsbringsmiles.blogspot.com/2011/02/textured-letters.html

I love the look of moss and I especially appreciate all the crafts you can do with moss. I went out and bought some moss today and realized you really gotta pick through the stuff to get the good greens if you know what I mean. I am hoping that my projects turn out just as lovely. Thanks for putting the ideas forth.

how do you keep the moss looking fresh? and what kind of moss did you use for making that "R"? Love what you did!
Nicole
Is there a "fixative" to keep moss from shedding? I'm about to go all 80's and bust out the AquaNet on my moss letter!!!

Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long)
so I guess I'll just sum it up what I had written and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying
your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any suggestions for novice blog writers? I'd really appreciate it.
